Ruwen
Ruwen is the debut in the Mated to the Alien multi-author series. Ruwen already knows he has less time to live since he has not found his mate yet. He’s an endangered species that dies at their 30th birthday if they don’t find a mate. Ruwen is one of the ever-dwindling races of misplaced beings whose planet was destroyed.
His kind is rare since its population is primarily male and scattered throughout the galaxy. This means the possibility of finding a mate and living a normal lifespan is low.
His birthday is just around the corner, and he knows he will soon die. Ruwen has accepted his fate and is ready to bid his close friends farewell. He lives as a man with no future taking risky jobs since he is on edge.
He is taken on his one more last mission hoping to compete, earn money, and live her remaining day peacefully. However, while on the mission, he finds a human female that was kidnapped by mistake and brought to his alien planet, then left.
Aliens and several tests abducted Lis; they informed her that they picked the wrong human and decided to drop her on a planet, leaving her with a backpack full of supplies to help her survive before getting saved. She is a bounty hunter on earth and also a human.
He finds her as she tries breaking in and looks for any edible food. From the first he sees her, he knows she is his mate, but the problem is that she doesn’t trust him due to the nightmare she has gone through. Lis has stayed alone since the day she was kidnapped and abandoned on the alien planet. She tried looking for help from the aliens around, but they didn’t seem friendly to her, so when Ruwen found her and tried helping her, she couldn’t trust him.
He will have to blast her with his weapon and take her to his ship so that he can place a translator on her as they communicate.
All Lis wants is to go back home, but Ruwen knows if he doesn’t convince her to accept him as her mate, he will end up dead soon. He doesn’t tell her that, so he asks her to give him a chance until he completes his mission and then takes him home.
Lis agrees to give him a chance; after all, she has had a rough week. She risks getting involved with a sexy alien that she hopes might lighten her spirit before returning home. Soon she starts feeling for him, but she can’t explain why.
Ru can’t explain to her why she’s feeling something for him or that he’s about to die if she will not accept to be his mate. Will Lis open up and accept what Ruwen is offering?
Watching the two characters fall in love and know each other is fun and thrilling. Ru risked taking a dangerous job on a planet that doesn’t like outsiders considering that he has less time left but pays when he meets Lis in the end. But he couldn’t leave the offer since he had nothing to lose.
Ruwen is a story about two fated souls meeting each other despite many obstacles between them.
Kalen
Kalen is the second novel in the Warriors of Sangrin series. Kalen is an alien physician sent on a quest to earth, where she never expected to meet his fated mate. He’s sent to learn about terrain biology and human.
Since the commander’s wife is human and pregnant, Kalen is sent to work with Meridan to fill in for her. Meridan has a strong and attractive scent, curves, and fire in her spirit that call to him like no other female.
At first, Kalen couldn’t get the allure of nurse Meridan out of his senses and felt her everywhere in the air.
She is his destined mate, and he is so sure of that. Meridan is a brave and independent nurse who had no plans to settle down with a human, let alone an alien. She knows she’s safe from being matched. He sees Kalen as a rude, arrogant, but incredibly sexy alien.
Kalen thinks he is superior to the rest and behaves like he is judging people. When Meridan becomes his assistant, things start getting more complicated. Even though Kalen is successful at a young age, he doesn’t have compassion. Will Kalen go an extra mile to claim the woman he loves when the rules between her planet and his deny her the opportunity?
Kalen is an orphaned and clan-less son of an executed traitor and now the youngest medic working at Mahdfel warship. He’s a trained warrior and a smart clinician who understands loyalty to warlords and clans.
He has no clue when it comes to humans. Meridian is a skilled and compassionate nurse. From her father, she learned how to be self-disciplined and resourceful. She got compassion from her mother, who sacrificed her life to save her from a Suhlik attack.
Soon a brutal attack on the moon’s space station leaves Meridan unconscious, and Kalen ends up breaking the rules to save her and become a mate. They had to put her in a regeneration tank since they were used to dealing with Sangrin warriors and had never dealt with humans before. Can the two find an even ground before the universe tears apart?
It takes numerous alien attacks, warlords, assassins, war orphans, stuffed animals steamy sex before Kalen and Meridan have a happily ever after.
The characters are interesting and well-fleshed, making the story more intriguing. Even though Kalen is arrogant, you’ll find him hilarious in most scenes. He later learns that he has to change and make a few adjustments since humans are emotional, especially those attached.
