Ted Dekker is one of the best novelist in the world, he is hardworking and talented at what he does. Mr. Dekker was born on 24th October 1962 to parents John Dekker and Helen Dekker.Ted Dekker is know for his suspense filled novels that will leave you glued to the book,the characters are crafted in a way that you will never forget them . His parents, who were denominational missionaries, were mostly away from home so John was left all alone at home, They lived in Indonesia a place in which the culture was very different to his. He says he lived a childhood full of loneliness and fantasy and that’s what inspired him to start writing. After graduating from high school, Mr. Dekker moved to the United States where he took up permanent residence. He started learning philosophy and religion in the United States and when he was done with studying, he joined the co-operate world until the early 90,s.
In the early 90’s Dekker found out that business was not his passion. He sold his business and moved his family to western Colorado where he began writing his novels and after this there was no turning back for him. In two years’ time he wrote two he wrote two full length novels but rewrote them both in order to better the reading experience. Two years later, After writing three novels, his first ever novel was published, he is quoted to have said that was one of the happiest days of his life. After this there was no turning back for him, he took on writing like never before . With many of his works he has constantly proved himself as a formidable writer.
Two of his novels have been made into movies, thr3e and house, in three Kevin Parson, a 28-year-old seminary student, he goes through hell when a serial killer decides to stalk to stalk him. If he can “confess his sin”, Slater will stop killing. Kevin is shown as being a purely innocent character with no idea why anyone would want to hurt him, and the story that follows involves an FBI agent and a very old friend named Samantha Sheer. The novel showcases Mr. Dekker as one of the best suspense thriller novelist of this century.
The other novel which was made into a movie HOUSE is a horror novel written in 2006.It is about a couple, Jack and Stephanie Singleton who are on the verge of a divorce. The decide to go to a counseling session and on the way they get lost on a lonely and deserted road in Alabama. They get some advice from a patrolman and after they use the road in which he advised them to take, they run over spikes and unfortunately get flat tires .Fortunately they find shelter in a Victorian in which is also used by family as their home, things turn to sour for them as the family of three starts acting very weird. A serial killer named white locks them inside the house and throws a note down the chimney saying that he has killed God and that he will murder all seven of them unless they kill one of their own. The novel is one of his best yet and he says that better things are yet to come.
Mr. Dekker has made his name writing Christian thriller horror stories like those of his mentors Stephen king who also used the same style of writing. Horrible things happen in Ted Dekker’s best-selling novels. A serial killer snaps the bones of his victims. Sadistic Nazi toys with his captives. A box opens to reveal a severed finger. His reader’s consider him as a dark person because of his writing to which it is the complete opposite. In fact a lot of fans line up to buy his latest books and get a signature from him and also get a hug, he is a very good hugger.
In his most notable series, the circle series was written mostly around 2004. It was formerly named as CIRCLE TRILOGY. He tells the story of a man named Thomas hunter who after a head injury wakes up in another world every time he goes to sleep. The book gets a surprising twist when he finds out that a deadly virus is about to be released into our world and that the other world is also being threatened by a catastrophe, The book takes up a quick pace when the clock begins ticking for both of the two worlds.
The lost series is yet another exciting tale by MR. Dekker, in this tale Thomas hunter is still the commander of the forest guard. The characters Johnis, Silvie, Billos are selected by Thomas Hunter to be the new leaders of the forest guard Johnis is not with the others when he comes across the legendary roush. The roush gives him and his partners a responsibility of finding the seven missing books of history. This task is the beginning of the lost book series.
MR. Dekker said that writing helped him rediscover his faith in God. The journey of writing the book A.D 30 has helped him to know God more and trust in him. The book jacket promises readers that they will experience the way of Jesus as they never have. He said that he had been thinking about the book for more than ten years and he was happy to have completed it .He says that writing this books has helped him to go back to the teachings of Jesus and understand his perception about the world. He says that this helped him to change how he viewed the world. With this book, he has reached out to his fans most of them who are mostly Christians. This is what has helped him sell over 10 million copies worldwide from his dozens of books.
In conclusion Ted Dekker is one of the best novelists of our time, his books will leave you awed and scared but in an exciting way,his commitment to his work and God has made him what he is today.

His Creative Way writing series is a must for any author. Would not let a teen read many of his books unless listed for youth specifically and then a mature youth – some are unsettling esoecially Burn. Read him again and again.
