Ashley Nicole is a bestselling romance author, producer, actress, and comedian. The author was a correspondent and writer for “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” which she did for three years.

For her work, she won Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special Primetime Emmy Award. In addition to this, Ashley has also written for “The Amber Ruffin Show,” “Ted Lasso,” and also stars and writes for “A Black Lady Sketch Show.”

Nicole was born in the Walnut suburb of Los Angeles in California, where she spent most of her childhood.

In her teenage years, she went to the University of California, where she graduated with a theatre arts degree in 2007. Thereafter, she went to Northwestern University to study for her performance studies degree.

While she was studying for her doctorate degree at Northwestern, she got tired of her studies. She would then drop out and start pursuing her dream of working in comedy.

As for writing, she has said that she fell in love with romance novels as a thirteen-year-old which would develop into an obsession.

As a little girl, she could always be found with a notebook and pen in hand, as she wrote down ideas for her stories.

Nicole made her name and came into the limelight working as a star and writer at “A Black Lady Sketch Show” on HBO.

Very early on, her parents noticed that she was very interested in comedy. They had purchased a package of improv classes for the girl that she used to practice with over the years.

She did improv comedy as a hobby but her obsession never left her until she dropped out of Northwestern to pursue it.

Working for “The Amber Ruffin Show” and “Full Frontal,” she took long histories and complex ideas and made them into humorous comedies.

While working on the “Amber Ruffin Show” she had to work on a series on anti-Asian-American violence. This involved condensing several hundred years of history that she made into less than 10 minutes.

She also had to make her segment funny without making fun of the weighty matter at hand. Working with her team, she usually sprinkles some laughs throughout the script to enable people to engage with serious subject matters.

Since she is a college graduate, she makes use of what she learned to make reasoned arguments, and inform and teach people on weighty subject matters. Combining that with comedic sensibilities has served her well as a writer over the years.

At The Second City’s conservatory, she was under the tutelage of Norm Holly who taught her a lot of things. It was Holly who pulled her aside and told her that she was very good at improv comedy.
Norm managed to convince Nicole to audition for professional improv jobs even though she was still taking her classes.

When she started writing, she was fortunate enough to have a writing teacher. Her first sketch was supposed to be a humorous take but turned out to be dark as it was based on something then going on in her life.

It was a very dark story that her teacher cried when she read it. After class, the teacher pulled Ashley Nicole to the side and told her that as a writer it was good that she made people feel something with her words.

It was the first time someone had ever identified her as a writer and made her start believing that she could be a writer.

Ashley Nicole’s novel “Slipped Up in Love” is a beautiful story that tells the story of Cheyenne and Travis.

These two have been friends ever since they were children but after a series of traumatic incidents, Cheyenne vows that she will never see Travis again. But the two are forced to reconnect when Travis decides to move back home.

There is a lot to love about the story of these two as Travis was patient with Cheyenne. He understands that he needs to slowly convince her that he is a changed man and it was alright to let down her guard.
Soon enough, they are having an entertaining and cute romance in the midst of a great family dynamic. Cheyenne comes from a very small family but has a very good relationship with her parents.

On the other hand, Travis comes from a very large family which is surprisingly close-knit. The close family bonds between the two families in times of good times and bad has to be one of the best highlights of the story.

“Words with Friends” by Ashley Nicole is a humorous masterpiece that makes for a laugh-out-loud story. Nicole does seem to have an endless supply of jokes that will have her readers in laughing fits.
Rod is just letting life happen and hence when he is at the airport and meets Jerzi he shows no interest in asking her out. He has vowed that he will make a move on her if he meets her by chance three times.
He believes this would be a sign from the heavens that he needs to make his next move. But fate has its own plans and soon after, he runs into Jerzi two more times and she seems interested in knowing what is his deal.

Jerzi is a likable character and she likes the chemistry she had developed with the handsome Rod. She proceeds to question him about his flirting and their chemistry making for some great comedic relief.
All in all, it makes for an entertaining read with its witty, cocky, and laid-back energy.

“An Ounce of Decorum” by Ashley Nicole is a brilliant and entertaining enemies-to-lovers story. Noura has been beefing with Lee and he does not know the reason for the animosity.

She seems to have a bad attitude and it is very tempting to dislike her but once you get to know her, it is understandable why she seems to be so mean and bitter.

Between her philandering former husband, her backstabbing best friend, and her lecherous family, she has the right to walk around pissed off. Once she let down her guard and made herself vulnerable, she soon realized that Lee was not her enemy.

It makes for an interesting relationship as Lee and Noura work together through their issues as they transform from enemies to lovers.

Love your books. Love your voice and sense of humor. Something is driving me crazy though. I seem to remember a Shara and Desmond book and there was (at least I thought) a Mason book where one of them was suffering from depression and the family went on a camping trip or something? Please confirm or deny if my memory is right or wrong. It would really be appreciated. Thank you.
