Noelle Adams is the pen name of the bestselling romance novelist author Claire Kent. As Kent, she penned her debut romance which she bound in a spiral notebook when she was just twelve.
As Noelle, she made her debut when she penned “One Night with Her Best Friend” in 2013. She has since then gone on to be one of the most prolific authors in the romance genre.
Adams currently has more than 100 works to her name across more than a dozen series of novels, collections of short stories, novellas, and single-standing titles.
Since her books became so popular and attained commercial success, she became a professional author.
When she is not writing or reading she can often be found enjoying ice cream, history, art, and travel. After spending too much time in graduate school she decided to reorient her writing and now pens mostly contemporary romances.
Over the years, she has lived in more than eight states across the United States but now makes her home in Virginia.
By the time Noelle began writing as Noelle Adams, she had been desiring of establishing a career as an author for more than a decade.
Over that time, she had more than four reputable literary agents but none of them was able to land her the publishing deal she needed.
Most of the time, the publishers said that her work was just not the right fit, which was particularly frustrating for the aspiring author. After spending years trying to get published the traditional way, she decided to finally self-publish her work.
She had spent years writing nothing she was so discouraged at not getting published. As such, Noelle figured that she had nothing to lose by going the self-publishing route.
The one thing she had going for her was that she had spent years trying to get published. As such, she had a ton of unpublished manuscripts to post on Kindle when she got started in self-publishing.
While she had previously assumed her work was no good, she was surprised when most of them started selling like hotcakes.
As for why she decided to write under a pseudonym rather than her real name, she asserted that it all had to do with her genre of choice.
Writing as Claire Kent, she pens more erotic works and she wanted a different kind of branding for her new pseudonym. Most of her Claire Kent fans would not have been thrilled with the rather clean sequences in her Noelle Adams work and vice versa.
Another reason she decided to write under a pseudonym was that she was doing her new genre as an experiment and believed her novels would flop.
It was a spur-of-the-moment thing as she took the name of one of her characters and uploaded “One Night with Her Husband.” She was surprised that the novel would gain so much success that she made it into a series.
“A Negotiated Marriage” by Noelle Adams is the story of Luke and Molly that have been married for three years. However, it is not a conventional marriage but rather a marriage of appearances and convenience.
Luke needs to look like a family man as the CEO of a major company and hence a wife is essential. On her part, Molly had her heart broken by a man she believed was her soulmate but who never really loved her.
She now wanted a marriage of no sex or love with Luke. However, they changed their arrangement three years later and began getting sexual on the regular. Their loveless married son becomes something very different and their emotions start changing.
It is a beautiful little story with some very lovable characters in Luke and Molly, even if the former was something of a mystery for much of the time.
Nonetheless, the lead protagonists come with some intense chemistry as Adams shows her gift for coming up with some amazing sex scenes that will keep readers hot all over.
Noelle Adams’ novel “Married by Contract” follows the fascinating romance of Jenn and Nick.
They had gotten into a marriage of convenience but after three years she now wants something more from Nick, the former military man, and laid-back husband.
She works a high-stress job and thinks sex with Nick would provide much-needed release. However weekly sex might just mess up what they had when they first decided to have the marriage for convenience.
Ever since she was abandoned by her father when she was just a child, she has been wary of ever assuming that her friend and loved ones would stick around for the long haul.
As such, she has never made herself vulnerable to Nick and has refused to give her heart to him. She is determined to never let him get her heart no matter how steamy and intimate things get in bed.
But what started as something to relieve tension soon turns into so much more. However, the heart Jenn worked so hard to retain wants to betray her and may just destroy their practical arrangement.
Just like in the other novel, Noelle shows how adept she is at taking two very different people and making them into a beautiful couple.
“A Wedded Arrangement” by Noelle Adams is the story of Lance and Savannah who just like our previous characters have been living a marriage of convenience.
The two agreed to a marriage of convenience that would last a year and it has so far been nine months. Once the year is up, they intend to divorce and go their separate ways.
They have a history of hurt feelings, bad memories, and antagonism and they only ever got married for financial reasons.
When she was a child, Savannah had built up walls, and anyone that wanted to come in had to blast through them. But Lance too had his own walls which just created a fortress between the two.
They make for an electric couple with some awesome banter as they slowly ease into trusting and finding comfort in each other.
