Matt Lynn is a published thriller writer.

He lives near London. His first book series is Death Force, a series of books that goes along with a group of mercenaries all over the world. The author says that the series owes a lot to Westerns as well as adventure writers such as Alistair MacLean and World War II writers such as Sven Hassel.

When he is not busy writing thrillers, he writes a financial column for Bloomberg and also writes for The Spectator. Born in 1962, he also goes by the names James Harland and his full name Matthew Lynn.

Matt grew up in Exeter and Dublin and then moved to London. He attended Balliol College in Oxford. Working for some time as a financial journalist and a ghostwriter, he found that he was good at writing for others as he helped to pen three number one bestsellers. It was then that he began writing his action adventure thriller series Death Force. He continued writing, penning the Black Ops series and the Richard Hannay series, which debuted with The Crucible.
