Nancy Yeager is a successful published author. She also writes under the pen name of Harper Cross.

She says that she spent her early years growing up wanting to be a vet in the English Countryside, largely in part thanks to the All Creatures Great and Small series by James Herriot. She also had dreams of becoming an adventurist archaeologist, mostly due to her admiration of the Indiana Jones character.

Once she studied veterinary pre-med and got her anthropology degree, Nancy was able to realize that when it comes to her true passion, it is actually stories in all forms. When she is not busy writing, reading, or watching stories, she can often be found going after a physical challenge such as training for a sprint triathlon, practicing Krav Maga, or doing her best to get the perfect crow pose.

Nancy also likes to spend her time drinking quite a bit of coffee, red wine, and the appropriate amount of bourbon. She spends her time writing all about friends as well as frenemies (friend-enemies), and chosen or found family in her fiction for women, as well as smart women, attractive men, and fun adventures through her historical romance stories, or plotting the nearly-perfect crime for a noir mystery story. She resides in Maryland with her family, which also includes some rescue cats that are fairly spoiled.
