Mae Harden is an accomplished published author. She loves to write romance stories and has a soft spot (she describes as an ‘addiction’) to happy endings.

Mae is frequently busy writing the type of books that she herself likes to read. Good communication and low angst in a book make her satisfied. She says that she really enjoys a ‘little drama’, as well as a ton of sexual tension, a good meet-cute, and of course, a lot of dirty talk. Mae recounts that ‘hot with a plot’ is a personal motto that she goes by and she does take this seriously.

The author has a degree that she received from the Culinary Institute of America in baking and pastry. She decided to stay home so that she could raise her kids eventually, but before that she worked for seven years as a pastry chef and her specialization was in wedding cakes.

She is a wife and a mother and has two children with her husband, who she describes as ‘smokin’ hot’. The family resides in Virginia where they live with their cat, dogs, and a ton of houseplants. More houseplants than she says that she knows what to do with.

She says that she would use her free time to bake and water the houseplants that are still alive and do crafts and DIY if free time were not a hoax. She also would listen to a true crime podcast while drilling.

She likes books that are spicy, fictional banter that is hilarious, meet-cute moments that are entirely over the top, women who have mouths, and men who pull your hair in bed but then also will make sure to run you a bath later. She loves all types of romantic genres and likes to write her own romantic stories in an equally filthy and funny way and enjoys when they are full of feeling.

It’s full of fun and perfect for a summer beach read or a hang by the pool. No matter what season it is, though, it’s always the ideal time to sit down and turn the pages when it comes to this romance.

When it comes to Olive, she knows what she likes. She enjoys baking and there’s nothing more satisfying to her than opening the oven and pulling out her latest creation. She knows enough about herself to now that bachelorette parties are not particularly her scene, and neither are surprise strippers. That doesn’t stop her from being at one, though, and engaging with a stripper!

Olive is nearly certain that the guy she’s chatting with is not a stripper by trade, but if he is, he’s not that great at it. But he is very good at kissing, and that is something that she can say for him. Perhaps she should not have enticed him into kissing in the first place, but Olive figures that she’s not likely to see this guy again in her life so why not go for it?

She’s persuaded by her own logic and kisses the guy that she knows that she’s unlikely to run into after this. Olive knows that she’s just going to go right back to her boring life and baking muffins or whatever she has lined up, so there’s no harm in having a little romantic tryst that she’ll never return to again in her mind.

Then there’s Brooks, the guy that she never thought would go anywhere. Olive’s suspicions were correct and he is not officially a stripper. He works as a contractor and considers himself a loner. He would not typically settle for stripping, but when it comes to getting the party next door to settle down a little bit, he figures why not give them what they want and then they can settle down and so can he.

All that Brooks really wants is a good night of sleep. The last thing that he was expecting was to knock on the hotel door and find Olive in front of him. She has beautiful green eyes and smells like vanilla. After kissing her for a bit, he’s hooked. Brooks now has to figure out how he can get this beauty to stay in his life for good, because once he’s had a taste, he can’t get her out of her mind.
