It turns out that her father is a vessel of the Dread Beast, who is the scariest god of all of them and is a harbinger of death.

He is a monster that is always by her side, an eldritch being who takes on the form of a gorgeous prince who has wonderful starlit hair that only she is able to see.

He ends up telling Alma that she has been selected to bring change to their world. With his help, Alma puts together a perilous journey that will end up destroying the very House that took everything from her in the end. This fantasy novel will have you entranced the entire time.
