Kristin Koval is an American published author.

She used to be a lawyer who had wanted to be a writer the whole time but went down other paths. While working on her debut novel Penitence, she finished a twelve-month novel generator class at Catapult Publishing.

Kristin is an alumna of the Sewanee Writers Conference and Aspen Summer Words. She also wrote a short story, “Inheritance”, which was picked as a finalist in the Salamander 2022 Fiction Contest.

Kristin went to Philips Exeter Academy, Georgetown University, and Columbia Law School.

Her novel Penitence reached a lot of people and made its way into being featured in different ways by different publications. Today Kristin is married and has two sons with her husband. They live in Boulder, Colorado and also in Park City, Utah. She shares her home not only with her family but their two Great Danes.
