Sarah Ickes is an author who not only enjoyed reading from a young age, but also penned a few unpublished stories throughout her childhood. After graduating from college in the art field, she decided to take up her lifelong passion of story telling with her first published mystery, The Serpent’s Star, and the journey continued on from there!

Sarah loves listening to music across a wide array of genres, watching older movies and hand-drawn cartoons, and has a fondness for her pets. An “old soul” would probably be the best way to describe her as she often times has her head in-between the pages of books printed in the 1800s for a bit of research and fun reading. As for her preferred reading genre, she loves the magical and creative stories woven into middle grade books and injects that same level of whimsy into her own novels that span over various genres.

A Murial Robertson Mystery Series Description:

A Cybil Lawson Mystery Series Description:

Cybil Lawson aspires to be a famous artist one day. But for now, she works as a part-time manager for an art supplies and craft store while renting a converted railroad station with her roommate and best friend, Yasmin. Towards the end of a rough year for Cybil, things get even worse when her friend is accused of a crime by the police and it’s up to her to unmask the real culprit. Little does she know that this is merely the start to her amateur sleuthing adventures in Robbyr’s Cove, Pennsylvania.

While most of the books Sarah writes are a part of the many different series for readers to enjoy and choose from, she also publishes a few standalones for those who do not wish to read continuing character arcs. From historical settings, to fantastical plots, there is no telling what is coming next from Sarah’s creative world.
