Cazzie David was born in 1994 to parents with creative and active careers. Her father is a well known comedian and her mother works as an environmental activist and film producer. Growing up in a Jewish household with her younger sister, she was surrounded by storytelling and lively discussion from an early age.
Her interest in reading and writing developed naturally during these years. She went on to study writing for film and television at Emerson College, earning her degree in 2016. This formal education helped her build a strong foundation for her future work.

Writing Career
David began her writing work alongside Elisa Kalani. The two of them made a web series called Eighty Sixed that had eight episodes. Later they created Half Empty for Amazon Prime Video which got a pilot order in 2019 but was not made into a full series.

After that she worked with Kalani again to co write and co direct the movie I Love You Forever which was released in 2024 and she had a role in it as well.
