That same year, he released a self-translated Russian version of the book titled Кофемолка through the publisher Corpus. In 2011, he edited an essay collection called Made In Russia: Unsung Icons of Soviet Design for Rizzoli. He then published a collection of original Russian short stories, Чёс, in 2013.

His memoir, Dressed Up for a Riot, came out from Farrar, Straus & Giroux in 2018. Later on, his novel The Collaborators was released by Scribner in 2024. A sequel to that book, titled The Cormorant Hunt, was also published in 2026. His writing career remains active, with new work planned for the future.

Ground Up
