Annemarie Rawson is a successful published author from New Zealand.
She is an accomplished writer who is able to collect new best friends for herself no matter where she goes in the world. When she was in her fifties, it was time to make a change. She packed up her house along with her husband Steve and they rented it out. So much of this experience was recorded in her books My French Platter and the follow-up, My French Platter Replenished.
They said goodbye to their friends and family and moved to South West France where they would be working as estate managers for different private families. The couple traded their corporate life in the city for the peace of the French countryside and the natural satisfaction of animal husbandry.
Besides writing, the author loves animals, people, traveling, interior design, and making delicious food so that she can welcome people both to her home and to her table.
After going back to New Zealand for a period of time, Annemarie decided at the age of sixty years old that she would like to take another adventure. She did the same thing again, packing up the house but moving to London instead this time with her husband. Now they have explored lots of London and have also moved around the U.K. and parts of Europe. Annemarie captured all of it in photos and blogs and was able to pour some of it into her books, Late Life Adventures in London and Beyond and the book MORE Late Life Adventures in London and Beyond.

Annemarie and her husband Steve decided that it was time to give up their life in New Zealand so that they could relocate to manage a fifteenth-century farmhouse in France. But while the couple are optimistic, they also have no way of knowing that they are going to end up homeless.
They also did not anticipate that they would likely need to live in filth, rely on old equipment, and deal with a cantankerous boss. Will the food that she makes, the people that they meet, and the beauty of the French countryside help the couple to rescue the dreams that they have for a life abroad? Or are the pair going to have to reconsider what the future looks like for them? You’ll feel like you are on the journey along with the couple in this detailed book that brings France and this specific experience there to life!
