She worked for a few years in pubs, then management consultancy, then television production and hair dressing. She would then go on to write her first novel, which was all about some girls who were trapped in a dystopian garden world. This would be followed up with a surrealist detective story that was set in Vietnam.

The third story that she wrote was all about being able to find hope and love while on the edge of life. This was influenced by the experience her Polish grandmother had in World War II. The author has a daughter as well as a dog. She also has a desire to write as honestly as she can and pen stories that were able to take on the business of navigating life as well as human relationships.
