Later in life she took on the roles of military spouse and mom. Those jobs taught her to use short pockets of time well. She kept reading and writing whenever she could always going back to academy romances which were her first love in books.

Writing Career

Elizabeth Dear started her writing career as a romance author who liked to move between subgenres. She put out her first book Mave Fortune in 2021 which began the Blackstone Academy series. Over the next few years she wrote more stories in that world including Ben Fortune Knox and Asher s Story.

She then jumped into the Knight s Revenge series with Storm the Gates in 2022 followed by Seize the Castle Kill the King and Max and Frankie. She has written M/F M/M and Why Choose pairings along with gritty contemporary paranormal and omegaverse tales with a novella called Haunted Games that also out in 2025 and she continues to write today.
