Alison Rose Greenberg is a published author and screenwriter. She goes by she/her.

She lives in Atlanta but is the first to say that she was born in New York City, spending her formative years there and in Knoxville. As a result, she is familiar with both big cities and small towns. She attended the University of Southern California and while there took her first screenwriting class and found her passion. Her journey would include marketing jobs and then go back to her first love of screen writing.

Alison relates that she speaks fluent rom-com, loves to watch nineties WB dramas, cries to Taylor Swift, and is a single mom to her two kids, dog, and cats in Atlanta, Georgia.

She is known for writing Bad Luck Bridesmaid and Maybe Once, Maybe Twice. These are edgy, female-focused fiction romances which feature women in the years where they make the most decisions. The work that she has done as a screenwriter has captured the attention of different industry production companies and has led to development on film and television. Maybe Once, Maybe Twice is now set up with MGM/Toluca Pictures to be adapted for television.

Alison has also sold her pitch of Clean Air to Amazon Studios and it is being produced by NASCAR, Westbrook, and the Chainsmokers.

Bad Luck Bridesmaid is a 2022 book by Alison Rose Greenberg. If you love a good fictional work, then be sure to check this one out and see what you think.

In this story, main character Zoey Marks stars as the cursed bridesmaid. No engagement is able to survive her, in her opinion. But she doesn’t just have to think this: she has the track record to prove it.

It’s been a decade and she’s been fitted for three dresses, and in all that time no brides have managed to make it down the aisle. It’s been strike three and now Zoey is starting to wonder if maybe she is having some unknown effect on everything. Could it be that her own ambivalent feelings about marriage end up having an impact on the people close to her and then they end up calling things off?

She’s always been distrustful of matrimony, and this reaches a head when she turns down a proposal from her boyfriend Rylan Harper III. She and Rylan are left with broken hearts and this makes Zoey try to figure out just what it is about getting married that makes her run away from it.

This brings in Hannah Green. She’s Zoey’s closest friends and makes the announcement that she is getting married to a guy that she met recently. They’re getting married in Ireland. Ryland will be there and Zoe’s going to be a bridesmaid, something that she sees as a recipe for disaster. Could fourth time be the charm and be enough to break the curse? Is it worth putting herself in such an uncomfortable situation?

Zoey wants to turn her luck around and takes on the role as bridesmaid. She promises herself that she’s going to do whatever it takes to get Hannah to go down that aisle and tie the knot. This is her big chance to break the curse and show everyone that she can be included in a wedding and it will actually end up happening.

She really hopes that her best friend is going to get happily married and this will in turn allow her to have warmer feelings about marriage and even hopefully be able to get Rylan back in her life. As the weekend continues, Zoey has more questions than she does answers.

She wonders whether you can be a free spirit while also wanting a future, and if it’s possible to get love and be loved on your own terms. Can Zoey take a chance and finally break the curse that she feels she brings to every wedding? Or is she about to find out that the fourth time around is a failure too? Maybe Once, Maybe Twice is a 2023 book by Alison Rose Greenberg. This is a Good Morning America Buzz Pick that you won’t want to miss out on. Readers and publications have been fans alike of this novel– Publishers Weekly gave it a starred review where it says that the author ‘serves up some irresistible romantic angst in this page-turner’ and calls the book ‘a knockout’. Check it out to see what all the hubbub is about!

This story has a timeline that covers two decades and is all about chances and trying to find your own way in life. It delves into the classic agreement that friends make that say that they’ll get married if they’re both single at a certain age.

Maggie Vine has made that promise with two different people at two different points in her life that if they aren’t married and are single by the time they reach 35, they’ll get married to each other. Part of her never expected the other party to remember and take it seriously or even be eligible. But it turns out that they both remember, they’re both single, and they’ve both shown up.

Maggie’s life isn’t going all that great– it’s going kind of medium at the time. She is 35 years old and is going after her dream of being a singer as well as a mother. But she has to admit, right now, neither of those situations is playing out the way that she would have hoped.

Garrett Scholl is a hedge fund manager during the day and a rock singer at night. He attends her birthday party intending to kiss her, and it seems like an exciting turn of events to Maggie. The only issue is that he’s not technically single. Garrett is engaged to be married to someone else and Maggie feels that he’s just not going to be a good fit for her and his specific life– which involves plans to have a specific wife that isn’t her.

Then Asher Reyes comes along. He was her first boyfriend and is now a hot actor who has lived a private life ever since achieving fame. Could Asher be her true love? Will being together end up letting everything else in her life fall into place? Read this witty romantic comedy from Alison Rose Greenberg to find out!
