Roma is the sacred slave of a goddess and belongs to a lower caste that serves patrons with the purpose of sustaining the balance between gods and men. He graduates as a soldier and kills in his father’s name, showing his worth. When he deals with judgment from his mother’s people, the clans, he has to deal with his own demons and make his own path if he wants to get his soul back.
As they try to protect the people that they care about and build their identities up some more, Roma and Leviathan are about to find out that their fates are coming together. Meanwhile, a tyrant looks for an old treasure that is going to doom humanity if it comes into his possession. It’s a living treasure and Roma and Leviathan are the ultimate key to it.
This story is set in a colonized Indo-Persian world and has been additionally inspired by pre-Islamic Arabian mythology. Meanwhile, he is dealing with his feelings for Roma, which have only gotten stronger ever since they started. He doesn’t quite know how to tackle them but is aware of them regardless.
In the middle of unstable alliances, it’s only a matter of time before the Firawn finds out that his own son is the betrayer and a twist of destiny may force Leviathan’s hand when it comes to making the biggest sacrifice possible.
Foreign powers threaten the Firawn’s existence and as he does he starts to become desperate for the treasure. He also takes strong steps to get to the Roma. Their destinies come together and now Roma and Leviathan must join forces in a battle that could end up making or breaking the rebellion. Getting to the bottom of the treasure might be the only way to take the Firawn out.
