Dave Sivers is a British published author.

He is known for writing crime stories and is the creator of the Archer and Baines series, which is set in the Aylesbury Vale in Buckinghamshire. He is also the creator of a new series that features DI Nathan Quarrel of West Hertfordshire.

Dave is someone who grew up in west London. While working a day job, he also worked as a nightclub bouncer, bookmaker’s clerk, and a freelance writer for magazines and newspapers. He gained prizes and publication for his short fiction and received a First Class Honours Degree from the Open University.

His mother always loved stories and reading and passed her enthusiasm onto her son. He quickly found out that the compositions that teachers asked students to write in school were a way for him to make up his own stories. He never looked back and has been scribbling his whole life.

The first novels that he put out were crime fantasy stories that featured personal inquisitor Lowmar Dashiel. His first contemporary crime novel was his first book in the Archer and Baines series, titled The Scars Beneath the Soul.

Up to this date, he has released several novels and a short story collection. He has contributed to anthologies and is one of the many authors that are featured in Noir From the Bar. He is a co-founder of the BeaconLit book festival, something that takes place on an annual basis in Buckinghamshire. He lives there along with his wife.

Taking an early retirement has given him more time to write. He has successfully published several books throughout the course of his career by now. He enjoys appearing at festivals and other author events and enjoys meeting readers. He is a member of the Crime Writers Association as well as the Alliance of Independent Authors and Chiltern Writers.

In his free time, the author loves to travel and enjoy the theater. He’s also open to torturing himself by watching the Queens Park Rangers. Dave also likes to walk in the Chilterns.

In Ink is the first book in the DI Nathan Quarrel series by Dave Sivers. If you have been looking for a new book to enjoy and love a good mystery, this might be the book for you.

A cruel death, a spooky calling card, and a murderer on a mission. What could end up going wrong?

When a small Hertfordshire town ends up playing host to a dead body outside of its church, the entire community is shaken up. The body belongs to Alastair Murdoch, and one thing is clear– he ended up really suffering before he died.

That’s not the only disturbing thing about the case, however. DI Nathan Quarrel is the one called to take on the case and what he finds disquiets him. He is not dealing with just a dead body but a Tarot card motif on the body that indicates The Fool. Someone out there did this intentionally and is leaving their own signature.

Now it’s been another 24 hours and a different body has appeared. It also has a Tarot card on it that is a different card but clearly comes from the same pack. Now Nathan is certain where before he was unsure. There is a serial killer out there using cards to sign their work, and unless he can get to them quick enough, they are going to strike again.

It’s up to Quarrel to get to the bottom of what these cards mean and make some connections between these victims. Unless he’s able to figure out what’s going on and track down this killer, more people are going to be put at risk. This is an agenda of death at work, but can he solve this mystery and bring a murderer to justice? Or will he find out that he’s in over his head?

Suspense and drama abound in this tense book. Check out In Ink by Dave Sivers to find out what happens and discover this exciting conclusion!

In Ice is the second book in the DI Nathan Quarrel series by Dave Sivers. If you thought that the first book in this series was packed with action, be sure to enjoy all of the new action and adventure that comes with the second book where every action that is taken has a consequence attached to it. Readers call this book ‘dark’ as well as ‘gritty’ and ‘chilling’. Check it out to see what you think!

An anonymous call made ends up taking DI Nathan Quarrel along with his team to an isolated home in Hertfordshire village. There they end up making a terrible discovery– they find three chest freezers that are unfortunately full with the naked bodies of five women.

As the business of finding out who the victims are gets started, it starts to become very clear that a serial killer has been at work. Judging from all the details, it appears that they have been at work for a very long time.

The team would love to find the killer and close the case for good, but that’s going to be difficult when they don’t have any strong suspects or leads. Finding the killer and ripping off their mask takes on a new level of urgency with this. The media is calling this a house of horrors, but the discoveries that the team is making also aren’t generating the clues or leads that they would have hoped.

One thing is for certain: the killer is still out there. Can DI Nathan Quarrel and his team figure out who this killer is and find them before it’s too late? Or are they about to find out that this serial killer is one of the trickiest that they have seen yet? Little do they know that the killer has their next victim in sight at this point. Can Quarrel and his team scrape up enough information to catch this killer for good? Read In Ice by Dave Sivers to find out!
