The Forever and Always series written by E.L. Todd is comprised of a total of 21 novels and 1 novella, all of which were released between the years 2013 and 2014. All the books of this romance series feature the lead characters in the form of Scarlet and Sean. The stories usually depict the romance between these 2 characters. As the series progresses, various other secondary characters get added in the series, whose romance lives also run side by side of Sean and Scarlet. One of the initial books written and published in this series by author Todd is entitled ‘Lover’s Roulette’. The important characters depicted in the plot of this book include Sean, Scarlet, Cortland, and Diane. At the book’s beginning, it is shown that the time of bachelor parties has arrived, marking the start of true fun in the lives of the party-goers. At one such party in a night club, Scarlet begins to act crazier than ever. The event turns mortifying and everything gets recorded on tape by Sean. And like always, the gang starts picking on Scarlet mercilessly. The trip was planned to be filled with gambling and drinking limitless, Scarlet realizes that she has fallen in love with Sean deeper than she could imagine.
What surprises her more is that Sean too has fallen deeply in love with her. He is needy, attentive, and obsessed, and has turned into a different man from what he used to be. Having the faith in him, Scarlet shows her weakness and confides the painful past that she has been carrying in her heart to Sean. She tells him all about her mother. Sean has a heartbreak after listening to the words of Scarlet. Later, the announcement of her marriage with Sean gets leaked in a local newspaper and this makes Scarlet worried as she thinks that her mom will try to destroy her happy future before it begins. Sean and Cortland enter into a serious conversation in which Sean gets to know something that is not even known to Scarlet. Ryan tries to help himself into the role of ‘maid of honor’, while Sean attempts to keep up his tradition of sexual encounters with Scarlet on their plane ride. Diane seems to be in a state of shock when she hears some upsetting news about her soon to become daughter-in-law. On the whole, this novel is full of laughter, love, and chaos, and depicts an enthralling story that is surely liked by readers all across the globe.
Another enthralling book written in the series was published under the title ‘The Wandering Caravan’. It was released in 2014 as a Kindle edition. The story once again features the central characters as Sean, Ryan, Scarlet, Cortland, Diane, Janice, Mike, and Monnique. At the start of the novel, author Todd has shown that Sean’s honeymoon caravan finally head towards New York City. Mike and Sean act as the leader of the caravan, while Cortland serves as an important member. All the things seem to have fitted properly. Cortland seems to be in love with Monnique, but she has a past that he is scared of. Monnique left her engaged boyfriend of 5 years without saying a word and does not even tell Cortland the reason behind doing so. This makes him fearful that she might do the same thing to him after he chooses to propose her. Ryan, who works as a tattoo artist, struggles to get rid of insecurities. Janice belongs to a reputed family and is well educated. Ryan wonders whether he will be able to keep up with her standard if he brings her into his life. On the other hand, Janice feels ashamed to speak to Ryan about the thing that happened between Sean and her. Scarlet insists that she drop the idea of telling Ryan about it and leave it to become a part of her past life. But, Ryan goes on to find about it another way and this makes him angry over Janice. And if Monnique comes to know about it, things will become even messier. This novel too turns out to be a hilarious and lovable one. It continues to follow the progression of an orthodox family as they go from place to place wandering in their caravan.
