Eric Heisserer is a published American author.

He grew up in the U.S. in the state of Oklahoma. There his father was employed as a professor at Oklahoma University, where he taught ancient history. Eric started his career in writing off in 1995. He started with different tabletop game modules and switched over to screen writing in 2000. This is when he sold his first feature script, which was purchased by Artisan Entertainment.

Since then, Eric has penned scripts for many different feature films. These include the 2016 movie Arrival, which was based on the short story by Ted Chiang entitled “Story of Your Life”. He has worked as a show runner on Shadow and Bone, the Netflix series, which was adapted from the Grishaverse books by Leigh Bardugo.

They end up enlisting the assistance of one of the therapist’s most troubled patients. Together they become a trio and do their best to navigate shifting realities as well as various fractured memories and a killer who seems to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
