“A Home in the Sun” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2005. This is a gorgeous summer read that is about new beginnings. Home is where the heart is, however what if your heart’s been broken?
After Judith lost her partner, she lost her life in Malta as well, including that beautiful view from her sun-warmed balcony of the sparkling blue waters of Sliema Creek.
Judith, while back in England, finds this spare room in her sister’s house where she grew up, however with that comes this whole host of family dramas. Judith is nursing a broken heart, and knows that she has to find some happiness again, and rebuild her life on her own terms. Could some island in the sun be the answer that she is looking for?
“Starting Over” is the first novel in the “Middledip” series and was released in 2009. New love, new friends, and new home. Can starting over really be that easy?
Tess Riddell reckons that her beloved Freelander is much more reliable than any man, particularly Olly Gray, her ex-fiance. She is moving on from her old life and right into the perfect cottage out in the country.
Miles Rattenbury’s passions include new women and old cars. Romance: he is into fun more than commitment. When Tess crashes her Freelander into his breakdown truck, they find that they are almost neighbors, but worlds apart from one another.
Despite her overprotective parents and an Olly suddenly attentive to her, she finds the joys of village life and even forms a pretty unlikely friendship with Miles. Then, right when their relationship develops into something a bit deeper, this old flame comes looking for him. Could their love be strong enough to overcome the past? Or is it going to take more than either one of them is ready to give?
“Let It Snow” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2019. This Christmas, the villagers of Middledip are headed off for a very Swiss adventure.
Family means everything to Lily Cortez and Zinnia (her sister), and growing up in their non-conventional family unit, they and their two moms could not have been any closer. So it is a bolt out of the blue when Lily learns that her dad was not the anonymous one night stand that she has always believed, and is actually the result of her mom’s reckless affair with some married man.
Confused, yet determined to learn her true roots, she sets off to find the family that she has never known; it is an adventure which takes her from the thatched and frosted cottages of Middledip to the snow-capped mountains in Switzerland, via this memorable romantic encounter along the way.
“Summer at the French Cafe” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2022. Strolls in the beautiful French countryside, sparkling sun, that first sip of crisp, cool wine. Summertime is Kat’s favorite part of the year. This year should be no exception.
Just as soon as Kat Jenson set foot into the idyllic French village of Kirchhoffen, she knew that she had found her home. Now she’s got a delightful dog, a dreamy boyfriend, and the perfect job managing a bustling book cafe in the vibrant Parc Lemmel.
However once she discovers that her boyfriend is not quite what he seems, it is the beginning of a tough summer for her. Vindictive troublemakers, family heartache, and work woes follow, and the clear blue sky which was her life appears filled with clouds all of a sudden.
Then she gets to know the mysterious Noah, and her sun starts shining brighter than before. However he’s got issues of his own, ones which could scupper their newfound happiness. Together, can they possibly overcome their numerous obstacles, and find love again?
Sue transports you right to the gorgeous French villages and quite an idyllic book cafe and you cannot put it down for a second. This is perfect summer escapism with laughter, love, relationships, friendship, wonderful food, and some heavenly summer days. It feels as though you are sitting reading this in some glorious French sunshine. Sue delivers an uplifting, charming, and utterly delightful novel, as you are totally swept up in such a gorgeous book with her writing that sparkles just like the summer sun. It is the perfect escapism in between the pages of a book.
“A Home in the Sun” is a stand alone novel that was released in 2023. Is a summer in Sicily going to change her life forever?
After Ursula Quinn’s marriage falls apart, she is offered the chance to spend a whole summer working at this hotel on a gorgeous island just off the coast of Sicily, Italy. She sets off immediately, excited by a new adventure.
At Residenza dei Tringali, she gets a warm welcome from everybody except Alfio, the son of the Tringali family. He gave his life in Barcelona up to help out Agata (his mom) with the struggling business, and is frustrated by Ursula’s interference, and she in turn is less than impressed with the man’s attitude. While spending more time together, however, they start seeing one another in a whole different light.
However what with Ursula’s ex-husband hot on her tail, family secrets surfacing and one unexpected offer which makes Alfio question his entire life, there is plenty to distract them from each other. Can she face her past and can he face his future, and together make the most of their Sicilian summer together?
