Lords of the Were

Lords of the Were is the first book in Tales of the Were series by Bianca D’Arc. The story is an attention grabber and immediately captures the reader’s attention from the first page. Bianca introduces us to Alessandra commonly known as Allie. She was orphaned at a tender age such that she does not have memories of her parents. She is shocked when a woman approaches her and informs her that her mother had advised her of approaching Allie when the time comes. Allie wonders, what time? Moreover, why now? However, Allie finds out that her mother was a priestess, and as the traditions require, she also must be consecrated to the service just like her mother served. At first, Allie feels so comfortable in a world that she never knew existed until her 32nd birthday when all is revealed. At first, she seems timid but later steps up and turns into a gutsy woman.

On the other hand, there is Rafe and Tim. They are not only twins but also there both Alphas. When the last priestess was murdered, she was mated to the ruling twin Alphas who were also killed in a battle to protect her. Now Tim and Rafe knew the only possible way to keep the Werefolk family from imminent destruction was to fight and take their rightful place like the Twin Alphas and lead their people.
