A successful series penned by author Selene Kitt is known as Under Mr. Nolan’s Bed series. It is comprised of a total of three books released between 2008 and 2013. Some important characters created by Kitt for this erotic romance series include Leah, Erica, Nolan, Father Michael, and several others. The debut book of this series is known as ‘Temptation’. It was released by the Createspace publication in 2013, after its first release in 2008. Initially, it is mentioned that Leah is an obedient Catholic girl and is best friends with Erica for a long time. Erica’s father, Mr. Nolan, is a popular photographer and has a charming and handsome personality. After the death of Erica’s mother, she lives with her father alone. Leah spends a lot of time in the company of Erica and Mr. Nolan and they practically consider her a part of their family.
Both Erica and Leah have lived sheltered and privileged lives. They have the reputation of a good girl at their college. Leah pursues her interest in dancing and Erica keeps herself busy with the duties of the editor of the college’s newspaper. Neither Erica nor Leah had imagined that a fateful discovery is going to push the boundaries of their repressive and strict upbringing as well as the bonds of their close friendship. Leah certainly had never imagined herself feeling torn between her closest friend and her father. This novel opens by depicting that the childhood friends Erica and Leah have been treated as sacrificial lambs as a result of corruption and scandal in the Catholic Church. They have been violated by the lustful people in power. Later, the mystery behind Leah’s disappearance causes the much-awaited reunion of the best friends to wait for some more time. And when they finally meet, the reunion gets tainted by the loss of their innocence and unfathomable and deep sorrow. The girls go on to discover more secrets that have not been uncovered yet. Father Michael and Erica expose several revelations in their attempt to discover the truth. But, the revelations only scratch the upper layer of the mystery that they are trying to unravel. As the story nears its climax, the readers get to know whether the discovery will help to save the girls and regain their lost innocence or the fathers’ sins will prove too powerful and result in their destruction.
