He is one of the fortunate students who graduated under the esteemed guidance of legendary historian Professor Gunther E. Rotenberg. He earned his doctorate with the specializations in Military History, the History of Technology and the American Civil War from the prestigious Purdue University.

Forstchen is a Professor of History serves as a Faculty Fellow at Montreat College, Montreat, North Carolina. He has an amazing lifestyle, he owns a World War II plane, golden retrievers and yellow labs and loves to spend his time with his prized possessions. He lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her teenage daughter who enjoys her time with her father. The amazing thing about William is that he is an actual pilot and still flies his WWII plane for fun.

William Forstchen was bound to become a writer or more aptly a historian the moment he was taken in by Dr. Rotenberg. However, no one ever expected fiction from him. He started his early writing career as a historian and gradually started to try his hand in the other avenues of writing. He now writes about technology, historical fiction and non-fictional writings on global issues.William has contributed more than 40 titles to the literary world and still continues to write amazing pieces on every issue of great importance.
