Brian Limond, most fondly recognized as ‘Limmy’, is a multi-talented comedian and writer from Scotland. Embracing his unique abilities as a comedian, author, and Twitch streamer, he has certainly left his mark in the entertainment sphere. Once a humble website designer and Flash developer, Limmy’s journey to comedic stardom began on his very own website and blog, Limmy.com, where he showcased various laughter-inducing Flash-centered projects.
Later in 2006, he captured the British media’s attention with his daily podcast, ‘Limmy’s World of Glasgow,’ earning his craft some well-deserved recognition.
His comedy is often surreal and absurdist, yet also grounded in reality looking at everyday life. This has sought to gain him worldwide recognition, with fans from all over appreciating what he has to say. Building a following online and off, he also speaks regularly at various different events.

Early and Personal Life
Born on 20 October 1974 in Glasgow, Brian Limond, aka Limmy, found success after graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University in multimedia technology in 1996, as a web designer and Flash developer for Black ID. Later, in 2000, he co-created rival company Flammable Jam, expanding his influence, even contributing to the book ‘New Masters of Flash: The 2002 Annual.’ By 2006, he left his co-founded company, Chunk Ideas, to fully focus on comedy.
Privately, Limmy has faced and overcome personal challenges. He has battled depression, being alcohol-free since 2004. He had a long-term relationship with Lynn McGowan beginning in 2000 but they separated in January 2022; they have a son together. An atheist, Limmy openly supports Scottish independence.
He continues to livestream online, providing content on a regular on a regular basis, something he will now focus on more. Stepping away from television, he still puts out work, whether it’s writing or streaming, and directly interacting with fans in the process. In 2017, Limmy further displayed his storytelling prowess with the release of ‘That’s Your Lot’. This second anthology of comedic tales provided further proof of his adept skills in the literary domain. HarperCollins had the honour of initially publishing this entertaining compilation.
Limmy’s second book is filled with new, peculiar, and humorously bleak short stories. Narratives range from a bored dad with inexplicable mental powers in a soft play to a man’s peculiar late-night confessions from a wheelie bin. It also features a tale of an invasive curtain and a guilt-ridden holiday to Benidorm.

Surprisingly Down to Earth, and Very Funny
In 2019, Limmy delighted fans with a more personal literary work, his autobiography titled ‘Surprisingly Down to Earth, and Very Funny: My Autobiography’. This book presented a candid yet comical account of his colourful life and experiences. And it was Mulark that would initially launch this more personal chronicle.
