Ande Pliego is a successful published author.
She first started writing stories when she found that she could use her overactive imagination for a good purpose. She loves stories with teeth and today Ande writes books of her own that involve all types of things, such as general murder and mayhem, dark humor, mind games, and finding the hope in the dark.
When she is not busy writing or reading, she can be found planning her next trip, dabbling in art, or going on constant trips to the library. She was born in Florida and grew up in France. She has been all over the globe on her travels. She is married to her craftsman husband and together they have settled down to live in the Pacific Northwest along with their son.
You Are Fatally Invited is a thriller novel written by Ande Pliego. If you have been looking for a good thriller to check out, this might be the one for you! When a thriller writer’s retreat that is taking place on a private island is arranged, no one thinks that it will turn lethal. But that’s exactly what happens when one of their numbers is discovered dead– and it was almost certainly murder.
J.R. Alastor is an anonymous author who hires Mila del Angél to be the host of a writing retreat. She is an aspiring writer and the retreat will be held at his private manor located off the coast of Maine. The young writer is excited and takes the opportunity, influenced also by the fact that she has a bone to pick with one of the people who is invited.
It turns out that the guest list will be six other thriller writers, who are all quite accomplished at the art of misdirection, deceit, and mayhem. Alastor and Mila have together come up with enough content for a week that includes games, riddles fueled by tropes, and maybe even a jump scare or more.
Unbeknownst to them, Mila also has a plan of her own. She thinks that this is the perfect place to plan her own murder. But her plan quickly becomes compromised when a different guest ends up dead, far from the murder that she had planned. Now she finds herself trapped in the middle of an entirely different narrative.
The other guests are shocked at the murder and there are whispers among them, wondering which of them might be next. Then things get worse when a storm cuts off access and exit to the island. Now it’s up to Mila to figure out how to get ahead of a killer that, if it is one of the guests, knows all the tricks in the book. Can she figure out what is going on before it’s too late? Read this thriller to find out!
The Library After Dark is another thriller from Ande Pliego. If you have been looking for a book that has plenty of twists and turns or read You Are Fatally Invited and enjoyed it, grab a copy of this book and see what you think!
A seller of books has to get out of the haunted library that is holding her darkest secrets. But when the tour group that she is a part of also has a murderer in it, it appears that getting out alive is not going to be as easy as she wishes it could be. Someone is doing their best to try and drag the skeletons out of her closet, but she’ll do whatever it takes in order to keep them there.
Aria Stokes is happy to finally being settled in. She has found a small New York apartment to live in and has a good job working as a bookseller at a local shop. She’s even taken a leap of faith when it comes to love by giving in to her attraction to Jasper, a regular at the store. As a bonus, he already appears to know her well.
Jasper takes her by surprise for Valentine’s Day when he arranges for two tickets to attend an exclusive tour of the Daedalus Library after dark. This is a grand establishment that is famous for its genre-based reading rooms and even more prominently, the constant rumors that it is haunted.
Aria usually has an appreciation for everything that is ghastly, but this place is actually the holder of more dark secrets than she would want Jasper to know about. For example, the last time that she was here, there was a body left behind.
When the automatic door entry stops working, it ends up trapping Aria and Jasper in the library along with the other five people in their group. They must then go through the rooms and the hidden passageways of the Daedalus to try and find a way to get out of there and escape.
As a result, Aria doesn’t have anywhere to hide when it comes to the shadows of their past. Things get even worse for the group when they all find out that there is a killer among them. Now she is doing her best to make her way out of the reading rooms of the library.
She’s also going to have to try and figure out who she can trust and what secrets are better left untold if she wants to get out of there alive. Can she do it without getting burned? What will happen to the rest of the group? Read this thriller to find out!
