Love from the Cosmos is a 2026 novel by Mowa Badmos. If you have been looking for a great new book that is original and that you can read casually or all in one sitting, this could be your next favorite read.

Main character Moyo Adegbite is a young woman that seems to have it all. She’s not only beautiful, she has smarts too and is very determined. It might appear that she has everything in the world that she could want, but she also has a huge person-shaped hole in her life.

She’s a pediatrician based out of Boston and has been able to at least achieve being able to make her parents proud back in Lagos. Now after all of this, she is finding that she is ready to welcome true love into her life.

Even though she is looking to find someone, Moyo doesn’t want to have to go through every option in Boston, so she’s come up with a plan to help her avoid the duds. She’s used her research to help her come up with a plan that she thinks cannot fail.

She’s going to join Cupid’s Bow, an astrology dating app that is popular at the moment. The app uses birth charts in order to match soulmates and says that it has a 99% success rate. Moyo thinks that the app is working well, but everything’s going okay until it isn’t.

Moyo finds out about the infidelity of a match on Cupid’s Bow and decides to go on a rant against the creators of the app. It probably isn’t helping that she’s consumed a bunch of booze. Emboldened by all of her liquid courage, she decides to file a complaint and holds responsible the planet that is supposedly responsible for her love life– the god Saturn.

Niyi Bankole was given the name Saturn and now he has a position at Cupid’s Bow as one of three matchmakers. It only makes sense that he works there because it’s family business, but he starts to find out on the fly that he’s unequipped when it comes to being a god.

Niyi decides to rely on his science background a bit to cover for his incompetence. He ends up writing an algorithm that appears to be working for the clients, but Moyo complaining ends up triggering some damage control. Now she is given the chance to get a dating coach to help her go through three dates assigned by the app.

Niyi wants to help clean up the mess and also work on his algorithm and try to fine-tune it a little bit. So he decides that the best way to do this is to offer his services as Moyo’s dating coach. Will this end up being the perfect situation or is this choice going to backfire on him in a horrible way?

Niyi feels that his intentions are pure and wants to help Moyo find love through the algorithm just as they have been trying to do, but will they find out that they have better chemistry together? Will she find herself falling for Saturn instead? Read Love from the Cosmos by Mowa Badmos to follow along with everything that happens and see whether the two get together in the end!
