Kate Eberlen is a published British author.
She grew up in a small town that was 30 miles from London. When she was younger she spent much of her childhood reading books and wanting to escape. She learned the London Underground Map by heart so that she would be ready if she had the chance to go to London.
Kate was always fascinated with different lives and cultures to the point where she studied the Classics at Oxford University. Then she found out that she was less interested in academia than she was in the working world.
Eberlen will be the first one to tell you that she has held a lot of jobs. She has run her own jewelry business when she was 12 years old and has also been an au pair working for families in Rome and New York. She had a stint working as the lift girl at Herrods, where she would always smile at the jokes that customers made about the position having its ups and downs.
Kate then went on to work in publishing and to write books. She has taught English as a foreign language and wrote Miss You, one of her novels, in the afternoons while teaching in the mornings. The book became a bestseller all over and this allowed Kate to become a writer full time.
She spent five months living in Rome to write her new novel Only You. The book was inspired by the interest that she has in the Italian language and in classical literature. Kate also has a big passion for dance and enjoys all types of dance, everything from ballroom to ballet. The author recounts that the exhilarating feeling of dancing is close to the feeling of falling in love.
Kate is happy to report that she now lives in London. She says that she loves everything about the city, from the buzz to the diversity to its culture, parks, River Thames, and more, and put all of this into Only You.

They say that one person is all that is required in order to change a lifetime. But in the end how are you going to find out if they are really the one? In the present, Letty and Alf are the sole English speakers at an Italian class in Rome. There they find out that the language that has been connecting them all along is dance.
Letty loved ballet from the start, while Alf was already a junior ballroom champion. They were from different worlds, but all of that changed when they decided to waltz around the Piazza Navona and it appears that everything changes in the process.
It’s clear that there is not just one moment out there that can change the past. At the same time, it’s apparent that Alf and Letty continue to have secrets they are guarding. One might question what made them leave their lives in England behind and what or who they are running from. The more that their relationship grows, the more difficult it is for them to tell the truth.
Then there’s the future. When something beyond thinking goes down, Letty goes back to London and Alf goes back to Blackpool. Are they going to spend some time in their lives separate from each other or are they going to find a future together? Read this book from Kate Eberlen to find out!
