Julia Gregson is a successful published author.

Julia says that she has always wanted to be a writer. She was sixteen years old after she left school following an education that she describes as ‘fairly hit and miss’. She wanted to travel and go on her own adventures. She worked in the Australian outback and was also a waitress, a hospital assistant, a shearer’s cook, and a girl groom. Later in England she would work as a house model in London for Hardy Amies.

In the 70s she was back in Australia and her love of riding horses led to her riding out with Mick Jagger on the set of Ned Kelly, while also leading to her first published article, which was released in The Sydney Morning Herald. She would then get more work as a journalist and wrote short stories in secret that never got published.

Eventually, she would write on a regular basis for Australian magazines. She was sent in the seventies to Vietnam and India so that she could write stories and then later went to New York to serve as a foreign correspondent for a group of Australian magazines, also working for Rolling Stone Magazine.

Throughout this time, Julia spent some time in a boxer’s training camp in Pennsylvania with Muhammad Ali. She also interviewed Buzz Aldrin in Houston and Ronnie Biggs in a Brazilian jail. She also had the chance to interview president’s wives, Hollywood movie stores, and notorious criminals, which all provided good material for writing stories.

Julia likes to write short stories. She has many of them released in places such as The Times, Good Housekeeping, The Literary Review, and the BBC. Orion was able to publish her first book The Water Horse in 2005. Julia rose a horse across Wales for the research and then traveled to Istanbul and Scutari, the places the rest of the novel is set. She also took three research trips to India to write East of the Sun and Monsoon Summer.

The author is married. She has one daughter and four step-children. She resides in Monmouthshire along with her chickens, rescue ponies, and a collie that she has named Jellybean.

Dom goes to the cockpit once more, scared and excited to be making his way over the desert. Despite the danger of it all, the pair promise each other that they will reunite.

Saba ends up finding out that her position is going to make her qualified for a secret mission of international importance. She ends up agreeing to help the British Secret Service, while also hiding her new role from Dom. This choice may end up not only putting her in danger but endangering the love of her life.

Despite her high hopes, Kit is finding that life in India is not what she pictured. Anto’s family is large and very traditional. They wanted his match to be Indian and are having a tough time accepting Kit. Their relationship starts to fall apart and as it does, Kit is finding that her job is full of tension as they deal with a freshly independent India. Riots have left millions dead and the English are met with suspicion.
