Holly Bourne is an accomplished published author who writes for young adults.

She is also a journalist and a relationship expert for TheSite.org, which is an advice and informational website designed for people who are 16 to 25 and receives over 100,000 users a month. Before working there she was a local news reporter on the Surrey Mirror for two years and was nominated for Print Journalist of the Year 2010. She began her writing career as a news journalist, even being nominated for the Best Print Journalist of the Year.

Holly would then begin working as an editor, a relationship advisor, and an agony aunt for a youth charity where she helped young people both with their relationships and their mental health. She was inspired by what she saw and began writing teen fiction, which includes the bestselling Spinster Club series which entertains but also educates teens about the concept of feminism.

Upon turning 30 years old, she sat down to write what would become her first novel for adults, How Do You Like Me Now?, which took a look at the increased pressures that are put upon women once they reach being thirty years old in their lives.

Besides her writing, Holly has maintained an interest in rights for women. She also advocates for reducing the stigma of mental health problems. She has assisted with coming up with online apps that are able to teach younger people about topics such as sexual consent. She also works with Women’s Aid to spread awareness about abusive relationships and runs the mental health book club for Rethink.

Today the author resides in London but is constantly dreaming of the day in her life where she will be able to have a dog, a garden, chickens, and a bee hive.
