Adriane Leigh is a bestselling author of mystery paranormal romance and general romance fiction novels whose works have been on the USA Today Bestseller list. Leigh was born in rural northern Michigan and she was eight years old when she penned her first story. Once she wrote that first story, she knew that writing was the only thing she ever wanted to do when she grew up. She had always been fascinated with storytelling since her childhood, and hence it felt so natural to become an author. However, Adriane believes that she would have made a good anthropologist as she also loves to study culture and history and read stories from people all over the globe. Adriane Leigh began publishing one of the most popular books The Wild Series in 2013. These are a series of novels that come with dirty-talking alpha males who are rough around the edges and are known for being unfiltered. Over the years, her novels have been translated into several languages including Portuguese, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Leigh’s formative years were spent on a remote and beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan very similar to the setting of Mackinac Island in her novel The Guests. Growing up, she used to work many jobs but her favorite haD to be working on the tourist ferries that brought guests to and from the island. In fact, one of her favorite motifs is the tension between locals and tourists in addition to the sheer isolation that comes from living on one of the most remote islands in Michigan. Even as an adult, Michigan still remains a special place in her heart and she spends many summers there visiting her family who still live and work on the island. She loves how it is a place that clings to its old traditions such as not allowing in motor vehicles. For this reason, she always feels a great sense of nostalgia going back home and hearing the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages.
In addition to her novels, Adriane Leigh’s writing has also been featured in the likes of The Montreal Gazette and Vogue Magazine alongside many other prestigious publications. She is also the founder of a community known as RARE: Romance Author & Reader Events. This is a community of conventions that draws authors and readers who attend one singular event each year. Adriane is also the host of The Rebel Artista podcast. Adriene currently lives with her family in Lake Michigan. When she has some time to spare, she can usually be found reading psychological thrillers that have morally grey female characters. She sometimes also reads haunted house mysteries.
In Wild, the first novel of the series, Adriane Leigh introduces Kat Kennedy, a young woman who has moved to Maine’s rugged coast hoping to start a new life. However, she soon realizes that she may have bitten more than she could chew in the seductive, dangerous, and dark Lane Wild. Temptation and desire are soon smoldering and she finds herself indulging in some dark fantasies with an enchanting handsome stranger. She thought it would be a one-night stand only to realize she had been grossly mistaken. But the man always leaves her breathless and craving more. What is even more exasperating is that he usually turns up at the most unpredictable moments. It is not long before they are engaged in a sensual game of cat and mouse that has some great sexual tension and combustible magnetism. They are having passion-fueled nights as Kat explores the sexual, selfish, and cunning side she never knew was inside her. But then life gets real as her present and past clash in a dangerous storm of obsession and lust.
In 2014, Adriane Leigh published the second novel of the series Ridge. The lead in the novel is a man who decides that he needs to make things right by breaking things off with Mia due to something bad he and Mia did to his older brother. Heartbroken, he goes on a rampage, drinking, exercising, and having one-night stands. But nothing he does can take away his pain of lost love. He then gets the thought that maybe he could fill the void in his heart by getting into a relationship with another woman. He meets Amy who falls hard and fast for him, even though he does not feel it. Amy continually puts up with his asshole ways and forgives him each time until she does not. Ridge once again finds himself single and all alone and once again pining for Mia. He is convinced that he will never be fully whole unless he is with her. She is the only woman who can take him dark as he is, yet still love him as he believes he needs to be loved while being himself. It is a magnificently written novel with some very thrilling plots.
Later in 2014, Adriene Leigh published Slade the third of the Wild series. The lead in the novel is Slade who has been in love with Dillon for the longest time and hates that he cannot have more than the sexual relationship they have been having. He wants to bare himself to Dillon and show her who he really is. While he is known as the golden boy who always does the right thing, he knows that hardly anyone would look at him the same if they knew what he did for a living. He is the owner of a private sex club where he invites the kinkier populace to unleash their fantasies. He wants to show her his other life and hopes that Dillon will not run from him. She had been labeled the town whore a few years back but she does not care. She has had several satisfying sexual relationships with no emotion and strings attached and she is not going to change. But recently, Slade has been trying to get her to commit to a relationship and she does not know what to make of it.
