Alan Zullo is an American published author known for writing nonfiction as well as paperbacks for children and adults.

Zullo was born in Rockford, Illinois, on November 23, 1947. He attended Northern Illinois University, graduating from the school in 1969 with his degree in journalism. Books he has written include The Baseball Hall of Shame as well as Baseball Confidential, which were both co-written along with Bruce Nash.

He has also co-written with his wife the book A Boomer’s Guide to Grandparenting, as well as the Haunted Kids series. Zullo has written articles in addition to books, having penned articles for The Christian Science Monitor, The National Enquirer, Ladies Home Journal, and The Palm Beach Post.

Alan writes three series for Scholastic intended for student readers in middle school. These include Ten True Tales, which are stories about people who have risen to the challenges of dangerous situations, Bad Pets, which are funny and true accounts of animal world antics, and Haunted Kids, which are strange tales that have been inspired by the investigations in real life into the supernatural.

He has created boxed daily page calendars since 1989 about a bunch of subjects for Andrews McMeel.

Alan Zullo is the author of a syndicated comic strip known as ‘The Ghost Story Club’, and it ran in newspapers in American from 1995 to 1998. He currently resides in Fairview, North Carolina.
