Amity Gaige is a published author. She is known for writing books such as O My Darling, The Folded World, Shroder, and Sea Wife.

Shroder was published in 2013 and was short-listed for the Folio Prize in 2014. It was also published and read by readers in eighteen different countries. The novel ended up receiving a lot of attention and was selected as one of the best books of 2013 by such publications as Kirkus Reviews, The New York Times Book Review, Washington Post, The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Women’s National Book Association, Denver Post, Cosmopolitan, The Buffalo News, Amazon, The Millions, Publisher’s Weekly, and Bookmarks, among others.

Today Amity Gaige resides in West Hartford, Connecticut with her family, which includes her husband and two children. She teaches creative writing at Yale.
