Angela Kinsey is an American published actress and author.

Born June 25, 1971, many readers and fans may recognize her as being one of the main cast of the hit television show The Office. She played Angela Martin, the head of accounting, for all nine seasons and would win a Daytime Emmy for her work in The Office: The Accountants webisode series.

Angela has also appeared in Your Family or Mine, Haters Back Off, Tall Girl on Netflix, Be Our Chef on Disney +, A.P. Bio, and has been a panelist on Deliciousness on MTV. She writes, produces, and co-hosts the podcast Office Ladies with Jenna Fischer. She has also enjoyed a lead role in Hotwives of Orlando and Hotwives of Vegas.

The author was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. When she was just two, her family moved to Indonesia for thirteen years while her father was a drilling engineer and she attended the Jakarta Intercultural School, learning Indonesian in the process. Her family went back to the United States and settled in Texas when she was a teenager. She would then study English at Baylor University, joined a sorority, took a lot of theater classes, and was part of the Baylor in London program.

Kinsey graduated in 1993 from Baylor. She would then be an intern for Late Night with Conan O’Brien. She worked for the band leader and was inspired to go on a coast to coast road trip from New York City to California. While in New York, she also was an extra on the sketch show Saturday Night Live.

She moved to L.A., taking improv classes and appearing on sitcoms for an episode. She provided the voice of a character on King of the Hill for two episodes before auditioning for a receptionist role on The Office in 2005. She was called back to audition for a different role, winning the part of Angela Martin.

She would later appear in License to Wed and would organize cast outings for the cast of The Office. She would also become a spokesperson for Clairol hair products in 2011. She would guest star on New Girl before starring in The Hotwives of Hulu. She also starred in a movie All-Stars in the same year. She has appeared in Haters Back Off and then Tall Girl, playing a mom.

In 2019, she announced the Office Ladies weekly podcast news on Twitter. The first episode came out in October of that year and continued to go strong. Many of the crew and cast from The Office have made appearances on the podcast, and it even won Podcast of the Year in 2021 at the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. She announced she would be releasing a book on The Office in 2021 along with Jenna Fischer, and it came out in 2022.

Angela got married to Warren Lieberstein on June 18, 2000. He is a writer and producer and the brother of Paul Lieberstein (Toby from HR on The Office). They had a daughter in May of 2008. In February 2009, she separated from her husband but they continue to be friends. They filed for divorce with Kinsey initiating it in 2010. Six years later, she would announce she was engaged to Joshua Snyder, and they got married in November 2016. She is a step-mother to his sons and they host a YouTube channel and a website that is titled ‘Baking with Josh & Ange’. She is also a supporter of the nonprofit advocacy organization Alley Cat Allies.
