Edith Sherman is recently widowed after a marriage that may have been short but was still difficult. But after going through all of that, she has finally learned her lesson. She should forget love and forget marriage and just do something different that is all about her.

Now that she is in her thirties, she has every intention of filling this time of her life with adventure. As she is getting the final paperwork ready for a humanitarian trip to South Africa, she takes on a short term nursing position in a small town in the Midwest.

The last thing that she is looking for is for a handsome local to catch her eye, which would be utterly inconvenient. This time in her life is supposed to be all about her and how she can progress and focus on herself and healing.

Meanwhile, there’s Henry Hobbes. He’s a man who is not exactly happy to have Edith dumped on him as a house guest for the summer. He assumes that the woman is an elderly widow. On the other hand, he would do just about anything for his niece, who is kind of like a sister to him because of how close in age they are.

But it doesn’t seem to matter much since Edith is going to be working at night and Henry is working during the day. When he and Edith continue to miss each other in person, they start exchanging notes. At first it is just short messages, but soon the letters grow longer and they start sharing parts of their lives with the other that are fairly personal with each other.

By the time they get to the point that Henry realizes his mistake, things have advanced. He realizes that Edith is precisely the brown eyed gorgeous woman that he has been bumping into all over town. But their hearts are so intertwined with each other since this point he hopes that it never changes.

With her departure date coming up quickly, Edith has a decision to make. Henry is comfortable with having his roots planted at home and Edith has to figure out if the adventure of her dreams is the one that is right in front of her nose. Can these two reconcile and become lovers, or will Edith stay committed to her idea of traveling and not getting involved with a man? Read this book to find out!

Love In Tandem is a 2024 novel by Becca Kinzer. If you have been looking for something new to enjoy, give this story a try.

She is a woman who is happy to just live a quiet life living in her small hometown. He is a man who has adventures and has a wanderlust that can’t be quenched. The two of them could not be any more different if they tried.

However, this would not be the first time that there was an instance of opposites attract. And a tandem bicycle and a five hundred mile road trip might just end up changing all of that. After an engagement that has failed and her mother fighting cancer, Charlotte Carter thinks that things might finally be turning around.

She has just been able to get her ideal job teaching music. What she did not see coming was the closure of the music program at the school. She wants to do anything that it takes to save it, even if it means that she has to get creative.

There is no way that she is going to set this up as just another failure in her book of things that have recently embarrassed her. Meanwhile, Zach Bryant has come back to town for just enough time to see his brother Ben get married and tie the knot and then he is committed to going off again and traveling the world.

He never thought that he would run into the former fiancé of his brother, Charlotte Carter. He also did not think that everyone would start thinking that he and Charlotte are an item and are actually together. Zach also never pictured that he would end up riding a tandem bicycle with her for hundreds of miles to try and raise money for a defunct music program.

However, how can he say no to this when the prize money he could win would help lift him out of his financial predicament? Charlotte is certain that she can set aside her differences with Zach for enough time to cross the finish line and win the huge cash prize, but you never know.

She decides to go for it and take Zach with her on this journey. But just a few hundred miles in, she is questioning her assumptions about Zach and starting to wonder if tandem biking is just the beginning of the biggest adventure that they have had yet. Can these opposites attract and find romance with each other, or are they destined to be disappointed? Check out this book to find out!
