The plot of this novel is set in the United States and revolves around the events that happen in the lives of the main characters named Erin Quinlan and Captain Ty Phillips. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Erin Quinlan is introduced as a fiery journalist, who seems to have no intention of writing about the military expose that is assigned to her. She knows very well that her expose job is going to hurt the military Air Force a lot as it had hurt her previously. But, she still decides to continue with her job as a journalist with the hope that her revenge will bring sweet results for her, even if she is not able to bring her husband back. On the other hand, Ty Phillips is introduced as a Captain, who does not like to play as a host to the hostile Erin. Due to this, the tempers of both the individuals clash like a couple of steel blades. However, the calm and cool control of Ty Phillips in the cockpit while flying enables him to earn the respect of Erin Quinlan. As a result, she is sent spinning into the far away stratosphere due to his powerful embrace. But, they are forced to get separated because of their professional commitments.

Eventually, Erin is left heartbroken and does not hope to spend a healthy future without being with the man she loves very much. The plot of this novel revolves around the happenings in the lives of the main characters named Taylor Grant and Katie Riordan. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Taylor Grant is depicted as a reporter, who becomes shocked to seem that the gypsy spirit beside him has healed a victim of heart attack by just touching him. Even though Katie Riordan does not wish to talk about her unique ability, she becomes a famous when Taylor publishes her story. As a result, a number of seekers begin to call for her, including a threat maker. Thinking that he has caused a lot of pain to her, Taylor offers to help Katie. When the two begin to stay together, they share an endearing and provocative excitement in their lives.
