Harlow James is a published author of fiction. It is a pen name that the author uses to protect their real identity, as they work as a high school teacher. Keeping the two roles in her life separate ends up being necessary, but she says it’s also fun because it is similar to living two lives, and being anonymous gives her the chance to be bold and take risks when it comes to her stories.
She is a wife and a mother who fell in love with romance novels and decided that it was time that she write some romance novels of her own. The books that she has are a great combination of being addictive and heartwarming, and provide plenty of passionate romance. If readers enjoy stories with strong women, found family, and found friend groups, and lots of emotion and passion, that are guaranteed to have a happily ever after ending, this is the right author for you.
She first came upon romance novels in 2018. That is when she got a copy of Driven by Kristy Bromberg. The book immediately made her obsessed. On top of that, reading gave her a chance to get away from reality as well as grieve on his own terms. It was a year after that that she developed an idea for her own personal book and started writing.
She researched self-publishing and got started without knowing too much about what she was doing, but by now has built up a business as well as a hobby that she really loves and has an outlet that is just for her. Harlow says that when she writes, she’s not a teacher, mom, or wife, but a woman who has the opportunity to tell stories that no one else is able to. She also gets to add elements of herself that are part of each character and story that she writes.
When Harlow James is not busy writing, you can usually find her reading a romance novel or spending some time in her kitchen. She enjoys cooking and feeding her family and friends. She also can be found working her day job, laughing with her husband and children, watching comedy specials with her spouse, camping with the kids, watching reruns of the television show Friends, taking naps (which she lives for), or drinking champagne or perhaps a blended margarita.
Somewhere You Belong is the first book in the Carrington Cove series written by Harlow James. If you like a good romance story and you’re looking for something original, check this book out!
For Willow, one letter had the power to change her life. But spending one night with this guy might ultimately change everything forever. She thinks that inheriting a beach house located in a small town somewhere is not ideal (although there are many that might disagree), but falling for the bar owner who has a grudge against her because he wants the house is far worse.
Willow came back to Carrington Cove for just one reason and one reason alone. She was intending to renovate a home that she didn’t know anything about. In the process she would sell it and be able to finally go back to her regular life in D.C. and back to running her multi-million dollar business.
She didn’t see anything included in her plan about falling for a guy. That includes Dallas, a handsome former Marine who chides her about her manners and keeps the information about how to fend off killer geese on her property to herself.
Fighting with this guy even becomes their own form of foreplay, and it turns out that his tongue has far more talents than just fighting with her verbally. Their banter quickly turns to moans and their fights with each other turn into finding out more about the other one. The closer that they get, the more that she is questioning whether she should stay here with a guy that she is falling for.
One night, she realizes that this guy and her have a connection that neither saw coming. She wonders about if she would leave this town without him or if doing that would result in her being more lost in life than ever before.
It could be possible that she’s finally found the place that she is meant to be, where she belongs and fits in. Is she supposed to be here? Read this book to find out!
Someone You Deserve is the second book in the Carrington Cove series by Harlow James. If you love a good romance and read the first book in this series, check this sequel out.
Astrid has found a man that most women would feel that they are lucky to have. Penn Sheppard is hard working, adept with power tools, and very dependable. The only problem is that she cannot have him thanks to the fact that he was best friends with her former husband.
Astrid had suddenly became a single mother with two kids, and Penn was there, ready to help her with all of it when her life suddenly started falling apart. He has helped in her in all types of ways. He’s loved the kids just like they were his, coached the soccer team, and has been there for the family.
Everything changed when he kissed her. Astrid did her best to try and shut out the way that her body responded. She was being touched with a lot of need, something that led to her wondering what other special skills that Penn had besides the ability to build or fix anything.
She ended up pushing him away instead. She asked him to forget that any of this had ever happened. Astrid acted like nothing had changed between the two of them, even though everything had. Lying to yourself is tougher sometimes than lying to someone else.
Now she is opening her own bakery. Penn is helping her and supporting her. But then one night everything turns around and they become closer than ever. Can she navigate through what she wants and figure out if she has a future with Penn? Read this book to find out!
