Dani Francis is a published American author.
She is known for writing the Silver Elite series of fictional novels and has reached many readers as well as the tops of the charts when it comes to the New York Times. Like so many other authors, she also really loves to read and is avidly either reading or on the search for her next book.
Dani also admits that she has a love for all things when it comes to breakfast. She also happens to be a hopeless romantic. She is often busy creating fantasy worlds with high stakes or when not world-building coming up with her own unique and complex characters that are multidimensional and tons of fun to follow along with.
When she is not preoccupied writing or doing other things, she can usually be found at home spending some quality time with her family. Or she can also be discovered doing her best to try and deduce exactly why the printer isn’t working (it is constantly not working).
Silver Elite is the first book in the series by the same name written by Dani Francis. If you love a good romance and you’re in the mood for something with a little bit more fantasy, then check this book out! This novel was also nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award for Readers’ Favorite Romantasy.
When it comes to psychic gifts, they sound cool on paper but they’re frequently a death sentence. Usually survival comes along with some rules. They recommend that you trust no one, lie when it comes to everyone, and no matter what you do, avoid falling for your biggest enemy.
Main character Wren Darlington has been no stranger to keeping things on lock. She has spent her entire life in hiding while also working to hone her psychic abilities and doing her best to help the rebel Uprising in many small ways.
Being ‘Modified’ on the Continent means that you are intended for certain death. Wren also happens to be one of the strongest Mods out there. But when she makes a careless mistake, it ends up putting her into the hands of the enemy. Now she has to join up with Silver Block, the most elite training program that the enemy has. But she is also at last being given the ideal chance to try and make a horrible blow from inside of their ranks.
Training for Silver Block can be dangerous, even deadly. This is even more so the case when you have your own secrets and you’re also living in the close quarters with people who want you dead. Wren also has to remember that she needs to avoid falling for her greatest enemy.
The stakes have gotten even higher and now Wren is finding out that she has to prove herself. But she’s also finding out that is easier to say than to do, especially with a commanding officer like hers. Cross Redden is ruthless but also irresistible to the point that it’s bothersome. On top of that, Cross isn’t missing a beat when it comes to Wren.
As the war goes on between the Mods (like her) and the others who are looking to destroy them, Wren is going to have to do her best to figure out just how far she is willing to go when it comes to protecting herself. She’s also going to have to figure out how much of the Continent is actually worth saving. Can she do it, and resist the allure of Cross while she’s at it? Read this book to find out!
Broken Dove is the second book in the Silver Elite series by author Dani Francis. In this sequel to the first, the romantic action continues on, combined with a bit of fantasy. Lines are going to be crossed, loyalties may end up being tested, and the fight for the Continent has just started as Wren Darlington discovers that she has been caught at last in the middle of two wars. One war is for the fate of her home, and another is for the fate of her heart.
Upon having totally blown her cover as a double agent inside of Silver Elite as well as making her way out of the Prime-controlled capital, Wren Darlington has found out that she is at last safe behind allied lines. Her former commander and her lover Cross Redden is busy trying to do all that he can to disrupt the Primes from inside of their ranks. Meanwhile, Wren is doing whatever she can to try and help the Uprising in overthrowing the rule of the Primes for good.
Wren is back among her own people, but she’s finding that trust is difficult to earn and there are many more hidden agendas on the Mod base than she would have expected. Outside of the walls, Wren is also worried that Cross is maintaining his own secrets– the type that could put everything into jeopardy.
Making everything even more difficult is the fact that she is reuniting with the fighter pilot and undercover operative known as Grayson Blake. He used to be the best friend that she had in the Silver Elite, and for some reason, Wren thinks that he understands her on the type of level that she never would have thought possible. Does Cross now have a romantic rival to contend with?
It appears that the fight for the Continent is just getting started. The war between the Primes and the Mods is getting more intense on a daily basis. Now Wren’s own personal role in this conflict is becoming more important by the day.
She’s going to have to ask herself some serious questions and figure out some real things when it comes to herself. Does Wren know who she’s fighting for and who she would be willing to lose? Can she live without Cross or Grayson? Does she have to choose? Read this compelling romantic fantasy story from Dani Francis to find out for yourself!
