Danyelle Scroggins is a published author of romance novels and books for kids. She also uses the pen name D.L. Quaker to write her children’s books.
When she is not busy writing, Danyelle is busy following her calling. She works as a senior Pastor of New Vessels Ministries North located in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She attended the Louisiana Baptist University, where she studied theology. This has informed her in her professional service as a pastor as well as her religious-embodying romance novels.
She also studied at the University of Phoenix where she got her Psychology degree and received an Interdisciplinary degree in Psychology as well as Biblical Studies from Liberty University in addition to a Masters in religious education.
Danyelle owns her own publishing company, called Divinely Sown Publishing LLC. Like many other authors, she is a big reader. She is married to Pastor Reynard Scroggins. She is the mother of three children of her own and two more by marriage.
She uses her pen name D.L. Quaker to write her children’s books. The author credits her grandchild for the idea. asking her why she didn’t write books that she could read as well. Scroggins says that the question changed her life. She had always had a love for children’s books and writing them always made sense but she didn’t have enough faith to ask them until in her words, God ‘used a four-year old’ to move her onto that path, and she couldn’t have been more excited.
She derives the D.L. Quaker name from her childhood last name and the D.L. stands for her name, Danyelle Latrecia.
Danyelle Scroggins is the creator and author of the Keatchie Corner series of novels. Found is the first book in the series. It is followed by Plenty, the second novel in the series. There is also the third novel, Guilty, and the fourth novel, Struggle. There is also the fifth book, Dream, as well as Weak, Healed, Need, and Potential. The main characters in these stories are a woman named Paisley and a Pastor Gotrell. Set in the South, all that the Pastor says that he has ever cared about is being the man that God called upon him to be. All that he has ever wanted has been to find the right woman and have her by his side who will give him the unconditional love he is searching for.
That all changes when he finds Paisley. He finds the most gorgeous woman that he has ever seen. She even has two twin little girls that are adorable that came from her now dissolved marriage. She’s been burned by love before, but the Pastor doesn’t know that. Her marriage was emotionally abusive and leaving it behind was one of the best things that she’s ever done.
Paisley is now a Sunday school teacher, and this makes Pastor Gotrell like her even more. She is a family woman and he wants her in the worst way. It’s only too bad that she cannot see herself the way that he sees her. He wants nothing more than to join together and have a beautiful family and life together.
Paisley thinks that her full figure is not something that is attractive and would be enough to push him away. That and the fact that she used to be in a bad marriage together in her mind makes her undesirable. But the Pastor would give anything for her to see herself the way he does, as absolutely beautiful.
He also knows that he would give anything to have a woman that has a bit of fight in her, which Paisley definitely has. The Pastor is up to fight for her, and even if she thinks that she is going to run him away, she is not going to have it that easy. He is ready for any fight that may go down, whether it is of the spiritual variety or whether it is physical.
She may not trust men, but he is determined to change her mind and make her open to love again. Once she starts to see his potential, things lead to a quick courtship. He is the type of guy that doesn’t mind a girl with a fuller figure, and that makes her even more appealing to him. If he doesn’t move to court her, then they’ll never get together. Fortunately, the Pastor is not one to let opportunity run away from him.
What she doesn’t know is that he’s not going anywhere. He doesn’t care if Paisley is hiding from her feelings and keeping him at arm’s distance. The fact that she wants to keep those walls up is find with him. She can teach Sunday service often and go to church wherever, but he is going to patiently wait until she gets that he is the man who isn’t scared to love her.

Plenty is the second book in the Keatchie Corner series by Danyelle Scroggins. This book features all new characters of Angel and Logan.
Logan knows that Angel would trade in her body for a size eight one in a heartbeat, but that’s not the way that he feels about her. He truly loves every part of her and wouldn’t change anything about her. When it comes to Angel, he wants her. Just the way that she is.
He’d do anything to be with her, even go to the ends of the earth. But does she want him like he wants her?
She’s always saying that he has bad relationships, but she’s never offering to take the place. Something gets in the way for her. Maybe it’s that they have known each other their whole lives, but that’s not it. It’s more the fact that Angel is absorbed in the social media world and Instagram fantasies of having the perfect guy.
Logan believes he and Angel could be happy together if she would just give him a chance. The two could have so much more than an Instagram relationship. They could have something real instead of something fake, the five seconds of a good photo that people take to show off that their lives are special.
