Deborah Falaye is a Nigerian-Canadian published author who specializes in writing books geared towards young adults.

She grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. She had a passion for reading even as a young girl and spent a lot of her time reading every piece of African literature that she could get her hands on. At the same time, she would bother her grandma to tell her some folktales and would trick her grandfather every night into watching Passions with her.
