Her interest in reading and writing came later, shaped by school and travel. She earned a political science degree from Arizona State University and a master’s from The London School of Economics. After that, she worked in Istanbul as an associate publisher for an English language business magazine called Turkish Business World.

She found her real inspiration on the job, leading women’s health projects based in Liberia, Afghanistan, and Myanmar. To grow as an author, she joined The Book Incubator program, became a 2024 finalist for the Women’s Fiction Writers Association Rising Star Award, and was a 2025 Poets & Writers fellow. Now she lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband, still writing.
