Dorothy Sheldon is a published American author.

She is a Regency Historical romance novelist and was inspired by Georgette Heyer, who also happened to be her mother’s favorite writer.

She has read romance stories ever since the way back when, and it was the start of capturing her imagination and pouring it into various romance stories that narrate the time of the Regency era as well as the characters that live within them.

Dorothy identifies as being a romantic soul. She says that she enjoys the way that people choose to express their interior love to other people.

Her sister has always stood by her and supported her in her writing career, as has the man that she met that would become her husband. The couple have four daughters and they reside in Texas.

She loves to spend independent time having a listen to music, checking out new books and reading them, and putting delicious sweets to bake in the oven. Dorothy also likes going to new places, traveling and doing different things, and learning more when it comes to other countries and their historical facts.

Dorothy also has a passion for foreign languages. At this point in her linguistic journey, she is able to speak more than four.
