Agrippa I: A Comprehensive Archaeological Study of the Last King of Roman Judaea and a True Crime Inquiry. This unique and extensively researched, well illustrated, scholarly treatise of around 750 pages related the life of Marcus Julius Agrippa I, the last king of Roman Judaea, through an application of archaeological and topographical remains associated with his life and reign, with the ancient historical record. This investigation also presents indication from these records to suggest justification for the theory that his abrupt demise at the height of his career was not accidental, thus also presenting a true crime inquiry into an ancient Roman historical figure. First published in 2023 by the University of Pisa, for which it achieved full grades and much commendation, this work is now republished as a book.
The Malhata Fortress on the Roman-Judaean Negev Frontier: Associated with a Roman Road, the Frankincense Trail, and a Princely Fugitive. This treatise, first published by the Roman Roads Itinera scholarly journal, is simlar in content to the second chapter of Agrippa I: A Comprehensive Archaeological Study of the Last King of Roman Judaea and a True Crime Inquiry. It is an archaeological and topographical inquiry into the Tel Malhata fortress near the Negev frontier of Roman Judaea, believed to have been the “Malatha” fortress Flavius Josphus names as the location to which Agrippa I fled when a fugitive from Rome during the reign of Tiberius. This work closely resembles an early chapter in the book, Agrippa I: A Comprehensive Archaeological Study of the Last King of Roman Judaea and a True Crime Inquiry.
