Elizabeth Neep is a published author. She goes as Lizzie and is known for writing commercial fiction, mainly romantic comedies. She writes under the name of Lizzie O’Hagan.
She has always enjoyed romantic comedies but sometimes has discovered that the guy meets girl and lives happily ever after narrative is just a little too simplistic. Elizabeth admits that there is plenty of romance when it comes to her books and she tries to celebrate love in all of its forms including the love of friends, family, and futures that are worth fighting for.
She has studied law and Australian law at the University of Nottingham and the University of New South Wales. She then got into publishing and now works as a senior commissioning editor for independent press. She has written feature stories for a variety of different publications that include Dazed Digital, Cosmopolitan, and PETRIe. Elizabeth is also a trustee for a mental health charity and in her spare time likes to draw and paint. Typically, she can be found around her home in London Bridge with either a flat white or a glass of wine in her hand.
On top of being a writer, she also works as a publisher of nonfiction and works for DK Life as an editorial director. Today she is married and resides in London along with her husband and the cat they share.
The Spare Bedroom is a 2020 novel by Elizabeth Neep. If you’re looking for a light and fun romantic comedy story, this is the perfect book for you!
When a friendly and fun professional comes in from London, looking for a flat share in a central location, preferring a double bed and an ex-boyfriend being an optional extra, she’s confident that she’s going to find what she wants. Jess has her backpack full of optimism and is looking to find sea and sun as well as a new beginning.
She may have had good intentions, but things do not get off to a good start. In place of sunshine, Jess finds constant rain. She thought that she had good job prospects, but it turns out that they’re just as bad as the weather. Then there was the friend of a friend that she had intended to stay with– something that completely fell through.
Jess now finds herself homeless, without a job, and wishing desperately that she had purchased waterproof mascara in place of regular. But then she runs into someone that she never thought she would see– Sam. The very same ex that she was never able to get over. She always thought that they would be brought together one day by fate. Now that he has arrived and is here, more handsome than ever, she realizes that she may have inadvertently been right.
Before Jess knows what is going on, she is taking on Sam’s generous offer to stay in his spare room. She may have not been completely truthful when it comes to the situation that she is in, but there is another important thing that Sam has not mentioned. Now Jess is not simply just living with her ex but also sharing space with his new girlfriend. Just like that, all the baggage that she was so proud of herself for leaving behind has apparently caught up with her.
This is an uplifting close up look at how finding love and then losing it could actually be a good thing, as it lets you find yourself along the way. If you love classic romantic comedies, you’re going to love this book, so give it a try and see what you think!
Never Say No is an early novel written by Elizabeth Neep. If you love a good light romantic comedy, you are going to like this book.
Hailey has always been told by others and the world that it is possible to have it all. Saying yes has been something that has been part of her world for a long time. Saying yes to each opportunity that came to her has always seemed like the surefire way to make sure that she gets those opportunities.
So when she discovers that her boyfriend Dom has an engagement ring hidden in his closet, she automatically knows that she is going to say yes. Then her best friend Sophie asks whether she would want to run a marathon together. Hailey hasn’t worked out for years but of course she says yes.
Each time that her new boss Vivian Jones requests that she stays late at her dream job, she says yes. It seems natural at first. But in the course of saying yes to everything her boss wants and then still trying to get home in time to spend quality time eating burritos on the couch with Dom, Hailey has had a difficult time hanging on to what she originally wanted.
Hailey knows that she is not exactly winning when it comes to life. Instead, she feels like she is having to manage two different worlds. When those worlds come together, having it all could eventually translate into losing everything.
This is a humorous and honest as well as heartfelt look at what it looks like to navigate the moments in life where you find a crossroads means that you might have to decide who you want to be. Does Hailey want to get married to Dom or is she just so used to saying yes in her life that she won’t be able to stop herself from accepting? Check out this romance to find out what happens and discover the lighter side of Elizabeth Neep!
