Emma Denny is a published author known for writing stories about LGBTQIA+ historical romance that involve a lot of yearning, some swordplay, and quite a bit of kissing between characters in the woods.

Emma uses the pronouns they/she. They enjoy collecting daggers, going on peaceful walks in the forest, and drinking craft beer that is wholly overpriced.

In 2021, the author entered the Mills & Boon and RNA Romance Includes Everyone competition. She would win the competition. She had attempted to get started early on writing when she was young, being just eight and a half years old when she put in her first manuscript to a publisher. She was shocked when it was rejected, but it did not end up putting her off of writing.

Emma went on to study English and creative writing, getting a degree in the field. She became a professional copywriter and writing came into her life in a big way since she spends each day and all of each day writing.

The author also lives on the edge of a forest. She likes to make her way through the wilderness, all while spending some time thinking through the latest tangle in her plot, finding new craft ales to try, and getting her fair share of historical romance stories in.

The time is the year 1360, the place is Oxford. Raff Barden has a new journey set upon him when events suddenly transpire that require his involvement. His sister is due to go through with a politically arranged marriage, but his sister’s betrothed has gone missing just the night before she is due to be married.

Now it is up to Raff to try and find the groom and get him back so that they can go through with the marriage and put his family’s honor back in place. But perhaps it is true that he doesn’t know the whole story.

William de Foucart is called Penn by his friends. He feels that he did not have a choice and had to abandon his earldom and his betrothed. So he ended up making the decision to try and go on the run the night before his marriage was to occur.

However, he did not have any plans to be on the run. Penn is not ready to survive while on the run and is not prepared at all. He must trust a stranger to help him get away, a person who ends up turning out to be Raff.

The two do not know each other and do not know the identity of the other in relation to their situation. Their fates are already woven together, and the bond that they have goes further into a new relationship that is emerging between the two of them.

The secrets that they are hiding are eventually going to come out. When they do, will it upset the natural chemistry and the passion between them? Or will the two of them find out that they are willing to put more on the line than ever before for love? Read this book to find out!

All the Painted Stars is the second book in the 14th Century Oxfordshire series by Emma Denny. If you read the first book in this series and enjoyed it, check out the second installment and see what you think.

The place is Oxfordshire, the year is 1362. Lily Barden has found out that her best friend’s hand in marriage is going to be the big prize as a tournament and is dismayed. She doesn’t want her friend Johanna to have to go through that and is going to do whatever she can to stop it.

She puts on a disguise as a knight and goes further into the contest. She’ll do whatever it takes to fight for her best friend and make sure that she doesn’t have to do this. But what she is doing soon starts to be noticed by people and then a horrible incident gets worse and is no longer in Lily’s control, and her best friend has to help her escape.

Johanna and Lily find refuge with a brewer in town and soon enjoy the new liberty that this situation provides. But while they are in nature, going for walks along the side of the like and enjoying the blackberry bushes, a new relationship starts to grow between them that neither of them was expecting.

Little does Lily know that Jo has a past. When it finally starts to come knocking at the door, Lily starts to understand that her own reckless behavior may get in the way of their new joy at being together. Both of the ladies now understand that these choices also come with a cost.

Now the question that they ought to be asking is if that cost is worth it for love. Will the way that they feel end up overcoming all, or are Lily and Johanna about to find out that sometimes you have to fight for love? Read this book from Emma Denny to find out!
