Emma Knight is a Canadian published author.
In addition to being a writer, she is also a journalist and an entrepreneur. She has her MA in journalism and also has an MSc in International Development from Sciences Po in Paris. The writing that she has done about books as well as maternal health and other topics have been featured in publications such as Vogue, Literary Hub, The Globe and Mail, The New York Times, and The Walrus.
Emma is the creator and the co-host of Fanfare, a culture podcast. In 2014 she co-founded the organic beverage company called Greenhouse, which took off and has since won several awards. She works there as Head of Brand.
Emma has written two cookbooks, both of which were bestsellers. These were the 2021 How to Eat with One Hand and the 2017 book The Greenhouse Cookbook. Today she resides in Toronto along with her family. She is married and has two daughters with her husband.
Her debut fictional novel is titled The Life Cycle of the Common Octopus.
