Score is the first novel in Flawed Love series. It’s a second chance love story of Keir and Poppy who were college lovers ready to have a future together. They met at college and fell in love. They had planned everything from Keir Entering NFL and playing in Seattle and Poppy completing her final year in college then joining Keir.

Poppy was worried when Keir was drafted in to the NFL but they had no choice but to stay apart for a while. Just when they thought their relationship was strong enough to survive any hardship, Miscommunications, confusions and poor assumptions destroy their relationship.

They both lived without talking to one another for a decade. Everything never remained the same as they go through the motions of life, and even the people close to them know they are not happy and are living in the shadows of themselves.

Ten years later, Poppy and Keir bump into each other when they return to Savannah. Poppy is surprised to meet with a man who tore her heart apart and doesn’t want to see him, so she opts to run. She wants to guard her heart since she is afraid she can’t withstand any more heartbreak.

Surprisingly, they both still have strong feelings for each other, and the only problem is the trust which may take time to rebuild. It’s up to Poppy to decide whether to forgive and forget and try to start afresh or guard her heart. Both are determined to work on it even when they know how difficult it is to face someone who once broke their heart.

Keir is aware that what he did to Poppy was wrong, and she never deserved it. He remembers the exciting things about Poppy, the special moments they shared and how he cares for her, and what she meant to her. He’s so surprised after realizing that after all those years, his feelings never faded. He is ready to do whatever it takes to get her love back.

He has to fight hard to have her meet him and speak to him again. They’ve a lot to work on if they get back together since it isn’t that easy for Poppy to forget everything at once. It’s hard for her to go back to the relationship and pretend nothing happened. But when one’s heart is linked to another person’s heart, it is clear that those people are meant for each other.

You can’t help but hope that the two love birds make it again after fate brings them back together. Can Poppy learn to trust Keir after everything that happened a decade ago?

Can Keir succeed in convincing Poppy to give him a second chance? The author provides the right amount of details for the reader to understand the story entirely.

Score is a well-written novel with likable and realistic characters. The plot is well developed, and it’ll leave you craving for more. The characters are unique, and you would wish to meet them in real life.

Emma Louise has highlighted both past and present elements that flow so well and make it easy to see the evolution of Keir and Poppy’s relationship. The novel has a heartwarming moment that leaves the reader yearning for more. This is a perfect novel for lovers of second chance love stories.

Filthy Firefighter
Filthy Firefighter is a part of the Cocky Hero Club series. Adele Bateman is twenty-eight, working as an accountant. She finally decides to break up with his boyfriend since she doesn’t have an interest in him and then sets her bathroom on fire. Adele feels she has had her share of trouble in her life, from bad relationships to substance abuse.

Adele believes she’s safe with a secure job and living a secure life. She has a dark past that has affected many people that she cares about. It’s a past that she can never forgive herself for, and for that reason has walls built around her to stay safe. Even when she’s determined not to let the past define her, she doesn’t want to let go of it and blames herself.

Adele finds herself in need of rescue from her burning house after she lit a fire in her bathroom, and that’s how she meets Hayden after he enters the house and bravely grabs her taking her to a safe place.

When a firefighter carried her out on the night of the fire, she felt a connection with him, and she couldn’t resist it. Upon opening her eyes and seeing her savior, she feels instantly attracted despite her situation.

Unfortunately, Adele is transported before Hayden can talk to her. They don’t exchange numbers or names and aren’t sure whether they’ll meet again. Weeks pass as Adele, and Hayden-the firefighters, live their lives as they relive the moment day in day out.

Hayden still thinks about the woman he saved in the fire until he walks into the house to see Adele, the woman he saved. Surprisingly, fate brings them together as roommates.

Adele does what she has always done her best and stays hidden with her walls up. On the other side, Hayden was so intuitive and appeared to know the perfect way to bring her out of her hideout, make her smile, and get her to stay relaxed.

As Hayden gets to know her, he can see that she has some wounds that are yet to heal, and he’s ready to help through the journey if she gives him a chance. However, Adele believes that she isn’t good enough for this amazing and charming gentleman and wishes Hayden to walk away.

Hayden is what Adele needs, and he’s full of charm and good humor, which he wears with less effort. Can they have a happily ever after?

The chemistry between the two lead characters was incredible, and their banter was adorable. Adele is a strong lady who had to deal with a lot, and you can’t blame her for wanting to feel safe in all aspects of her life. Hayden also has a challenging past, which makes them perfect for each other.
