Christine Wenger has served in the field of Criminal Justice for so many years. Because she was working full time, while attending school, the years seemed to move slowly. However, eventually, she was awarded her dual master’s degree in Parole Studies and Probation as well as Sociology. The knowledge that Christine Wenger had gained from school proved to be of little value because she ended up becoming a writer, which was something that she had always wanted ever since she was young. Christine Wenger’s first book was titled The Lady and the Cowboy. The Lady and the Cowboy is an exceedingly short, western historical novel that was written specifically for the young adults.
The book was sold to Laubach Literacy. In the year 1998, the novel was shortlisted by the Publisher’s Liaison Committee as one of the best books for young adult readers. One of the memorable moments in Christine Wenger’s life was receiving the call from Harlequin publishers informing her that the publishing company was interested in publishing the novel, The Cowboy Way. The Cowboy Way was eventually published in the year 2005, which was a year later after Susan Wenger received the call. According to Susan Wenger, this was such a long time to wait. Ever since the novel, the Cowboy Way was published, Susan Wenger has gone ahead and penned down eight more novels. Christine Wenger has also penned down two additional books that have been set in the Adirondack Mountains in New York city, known as the Hawkins Legacy. The Comfort Food Mystery was a new venture for the mystery writer because she had never penned any books before that revolved around a diner.
The First book in the Comfort Food Mystery was Do or Diner, which was cantered around a small town diner known as The Silver Bullet. The Second Instalment in the Comfort Food Mystery Diner is titled A Second Helping of Murder was released in the year 2014, while the third installment was released a year after. During her free time, Christine Wenger loves to watch professional bull riding and rodeo, with her husband, who happens to be her favorite cowboy. While attending the professional bull riding events, Wenger and her husband love to put on their favorite cowboy regalia. The two have traveled to different events throughout the United States including Florida, Connecticut, Florida and many other states. Due to her travels, Christine Wenger has had the opportunity of meeting with different Cowboys, who were not only polite but also genuine and personable as well. While doing the research for her Comfort Food Mystery series, Christine Wenger has traveled to different diners throughout the United States and Canada as well so that she can have a first-hand experience on how diners operate and how they are run as well.
Gold Buckle Cowboys Series
The Cowboy and the Cop is one of the best performing books in the Gold Buckle Cowboy book series. In Cowboy and the Cop, we meet with one Sergeant Amber Chapman who did not travel all the way to Oklahoma City so that he could get an autograph from Luke Beaumont. Luke Beaumont’s family ranch is a major tourist attraction and also happens to be on an auction block. Amber Chapman is more than determined to do whatever it takes when it comes to saving her town, even if she has to handcuff the bull rider’s hands and drag him across town. However, one of the town’s biggest attraction is Luke Beaumont. For such a long time, Luke Beaumont has always been out of reach for the girl, who happens to be on the wrong side of town. Once the two met, Luke Beaumont, cannot help himself, as he is quickly attracted to the exceedingly beautiful and witty, Sheriff from the other side of town. The two work together so as to track down a group of cattle rustlers who have been targeting Luke’s ranch. Luke, on the other hand, is more than determined to make sure Amber sees him for who he is before he loses her. If Luke Beaumont has his way, then the two are going to be together for a long time.
How to Lasso a Cowboy is the second book in the Gold Buckle book series. As the second book in the Gold Buckle Cowboy book series, we meet once again with Kate and Justin, who are the main characters in this book series. The romance between Justin and Kate is the center, the front, which makes this story highly entertaining and a romantic book as well. Kate is only 19 years and the oldest daughter in a family of three. Kate is not only determined but also feisty, smart and independent as well. Priscilla is Kate’s younger sister, and she is 18 years old. Unlike Kate, Priscilla is not only selfish but also pity and exceedingly lazy. However, despite her flaws, the readers are going to fall in love with her. Lassoed into Marriage is the fourth book in the Gold Buckle Cowboys book series.
In this book, Lisa Philips is named as the co-guardian of her niece. Thus, she decides to do everything she could including clipping her wings, cooking classes and even settled in so that she can become a stand-in mom. However, despite being named the co-custodian, Lisa Philips had never imagined that she was going to play house with her frenemy, the freewheeling rodeo rider and the good time cowboy who is known as Brett Sullivan. On a day-to-day basis, Sullivan had taken care of his bulls. However, one day an exceedingly young girl struck terror into his heart as well as the Ice Queen, who is known as Lisa. Sullivan was more than determined to ensure that he woes Lisa as well as establish a family for himself, the one that he knows he could not have.
With that said, Lassoed into Marriage is a brilliantly written novel, that is full of appealing characters, great support cast, feisty dialogue and an exceedingly touching plot that deals with parental pressures and also adapting to the life changes as well. Overall, this is an exceedingly engaging story, which revolves around seeing someone through a fresh pair of eyes and also being able to learn how to love unconditionally.
