Gretchen Galway is an American published author.
She is known for writing stories of fantasy, mystery, and romance. She likes to write romantic comedies because she is of the opinion that love is too painful to survive without laughing.
She is a Midwest native who attended and graduated from Stanford University. Today she resides in California with her husband. They have two children together and live in Sonoma County.
Dead Witch on a Bridge is the first book in the Sonoma Witches series by Gretchen Galway. This is the debut in a paranormal series from a bestselling author that is full of all things supernatural. Fun and very creative, this is a great book to read for summer or save for the spookier October season. Either way, this book is a great escape that you won’t want to miss.
Could one person’s magic end up being strong enough to get in the way of a killer? Anything is possible in this debut story of the series that features main character Alma.
Alma is a demon hunting witch and on her very first assignment she found out that she could not bring herself to kill. This led to her being unemployed at twenty-six years old and completely broke. These days she resides in the remote town of Silverpool, which is located in a remote town in a redwood forest that is located north of San Francisco.
Here she sells jewelry that is infused with magic and does her best to try and live a life that is completely free of drama. When fairies end up showing her the dead body of a former boyfriend, she’s going to have to step up if she wants to defend not only herself but Silverpool’s hidden power from supernatural trouble. The only way to stay alive and to make true peace is to track down the killer.
Pulling from years of magical training that she would like to forget while using abilities that she wants to keep a secret, Alma decides to go up against the fae, a charming demon, her father, and different witches who are ambitious but have their own agendas.
An inability to kill might be the conclusion not just of her job but of her life. Does she have what it takes or is Alma about to find out that she has made a huge mistake? Read the first book in the Sonoma Witches series to find out.
Hex at a House Party is the second book in the Sonoma Witches series by Gretchen Galway. If you thought that the first book in this series was interesting, then be sure to check out this engaging sequel and see what happens!
Sometimes to solve a murder, it ends up taking a magical touch. Alma is twenty six years old and while she may have failed at being a demon hunter she has always had magical ability. The only thing that she really has difficulty with is being able to kill.
Alma is getting over defending her town from a supernatural attack and has now said that she will not work for the witch governing body the Protectorate. She is now willing to devote herself not only to learning but to teaching the old ways of magic while doing her best not to hurt anyone.
Soon she gets pulled out of her cozy home in the redwoods for the purpose of looking into a high-society witch at a house party that lasts for a week located on San Francisco’s north coast. But the party soon takes a turn for the worse and ends up being deadly.
When this happens, Alma must summon some old and new powers while making allies that she might not be able to trust. She’s also going to have to face down a truth about who she is. If she makes it through long enough and survives she just might be able to unmask a killer.
Find out what happens and whether Alma will be successful by getting your hands on a copy of Hex at a House Party by Gretchen Galway!
