Hallie Rubenhold is an American author and broadcaster.
She was born in California to a British father and American mother and has spent much of her time between the United Kingdom and the United States.
She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she received her B.A. in history. She also received an M.A. in British history and history of art from the University of Leeds. Remaining at Leeds, she also pursued her studies for a PhD and would complete a thesis on marriage and child-raising in the eighteenth century.
Before she made a full time commitment to her keyboard, she worked in galleries and for art dealers. She has also taught university courses on the history of London and 18th century painting.
